Those Micheal ealy eyes enhanced his stare by +29

Cop was probably seeing this in his head

The best part is that the dude whose description Blake matched wasn't even the suspect, he was just a random completely innocent dude

Anyways, nothing will come out of this. Best case scenario, the officer resigns and gets a job with a different department.

I swear I look like a less handsome version of Blake. That could have been me!

Btw I got searched once because I looked like some men who robbed a bank 20 minutes earlier.

Cop pulled aside in grand central and asked me where I was coming from I said "I just came from Bronx, I stopped by the bank on 181st" you see luck would have it I made a deposit. They searched my bookbag and they let me go.

I almost pissed my pants lol. Not a fun experience. At least they didn't tackle my ass in front of everyone.

He looked like the least threatening black man on Earth when they tackled him. Rocking polos and chinos on his Dreams-Visions shit. Lookin up the next CHVRCHES album on Spotify. Just came back from sippin some green tea. Waiting on the wall to meet the young white man who taking his daughter out to prom.

Uhh...

He received a huge standing ovation tonight at the U.S. Open when the camera panned to him.

Absolutely revolting what happened to him. Vile, fucking cops

Turns out that officer, identified as James Frascatore, has been sued four times, in separate ongoing civil cases, accusing him and other officers of using excessive force during false arrests,

Diggs said the officers involved, including Frascatore, lied under oath. Hines sued the city for false arrest and settled out of court for $22,500.

“He called me the n-word. He used excessive force for no reason, like he has a temper problem.”

The cop accused of body-slamming former tennis star James Blake during a mistaken arrest has a checkered past that includes five civilian complaints in just seven months and two excessive-force lawsuits.
Officer James Frascatore, 38, joined the NYPD four years ago and was on track to become a detective despite his short but spotty record on the job, police sources said Thursday.

Last year, WNYC radio revealed the five complaints filed against Frascatore with the Civilian Complaint Review Board — noting that it was more complaints than get lodged against 90 percent of cops during their entire careers.

This guy would be too outlandish for The Shield.

Honestly I'm torn, sure on one hand he's black. But I mean he doesn't look 100% black black. They probably thought he fit the description of a white guy and tackled him. I think we need to stop thinking everything is about racism, like racism is never going to go away if we keep bringing it up every time something happens to someone. I mean maybe if the black community had better leaders and were in better shape, then blacks who are good people wouldn't be punished for the blacks who are bad crime. I think we need to dismantle our race based views in this country, stop seeing things as "black people this" or "white people" that and start seeing ourselves as once race the American race. Not to sound racist, but my best friend is black and even he agrees that black on black violence is the real problem in the black community, that and rap music glorifying money does black youth no good. Not to say it's black people's fault, they've been dealt a shitty hand in life, but slavery was 400 years ago, they gotta get over it. I personally don't see color. Black people also aren't helping matters by inconveniencing others by "protesting" and waging a war on cops.

TL;DR - If you're not breaking the law you have nothing to worry about. Race has nothing to do with it. America is pretty much post racial. This is what Bernie Sanders is trying to fix, our class and economic problem. Vote for Bernie

it took happy black history month ya'll, "all lives matter" and an overdose of summer fuckery to make this post happen

what a time to be alive

simply sensational

People always say its just a few bad apples, but why aren't police officers and especially the union comming forward and condemning such behavior by cops?
Not only in this case, there are cases where police officers make the wrong choices on a daily basis but I never see cops collectively condemning it, instead they are often defending the cops who did wrong.
I you really stand behind this #NoAllCops stuff you need to call the bad ones out and actively work towards sorting them out. Unless thats happening I'm more on the side of there beeing only a few good apples instead of only a few bad apples.

So how did we go from five white guys beating him down to one?

Reading some noise on fb about how the media has been unfair here. At least i think thats what they were trying to say. "Oh look, it was one white cop and not five as originally reported. Go figure!"

Maybe, just maybe, there's a problem with the fucking cops tackling an innocent man because of his skin colour and slamming him to the ground, and not so much of a problem with counting how many cops did it.

I mean, NYPD cops are pretty shit, so its not exactly slander to say there are five pricks in amongst them, even if only one of them was involved this time.

Yep. Pretty sickening. Another thing is the officer is in plain clothes. If somebody did that to me I'm fighting back. Unbelievable restraint.

Yeah I've probably would've been shot from whooping his ass, I wouldn't have registered that quickly that he's a cop. He just ran up and took dude down without saying shit.

This is sad. What I find most sad of all, is how common this type of shit truly is. Even with video and evidence of innocence, people of color are still demonized by the media. Instead of blaming the cops for their racist/constitution denying antics, they always make excuses for their behavior. That black person shouldn't had wore an hoodie. He shouldn't be standing on the corner. He should had just comply with the unlawful arrest. he shouldn't be driving an older model car...even when it involves 12 year old little girls in bikinis, we still see this type of excessive force...still, the media blames the victims of color.

sorry for venting, but stories like this really upset the hell out of me!

Damn, he just gets bum rushed. Saw the video. I really hope he presses charges. The police officer didn't even say one word. He should have confronted the guy and say, I don't know, talk to the man?

The main thing I learned from this thread is that the main audience for CHVRCHES is apparently white people

they're awesome, everyone should listen to them

Even if he was the guy who was guilty of the crime they're asserting, you just don't roll up and do that shit. Even the criminal they mistook him for deserved better.

What if James Blake really stole the ring and is laughing his ass right now ?
Blake knows cops are racist assholes so this is almost like entrapment. Right? Yass/s

What do you think the conversation was with the commissioner? 'Shit, we have nothing to pin on him, let's just apologize and pull out the check book.' The speed they release the video is directly proportional with how much fight they have in them.

Thinking about it some more I could see this guy actually getting the boot. Then he would be pointed to as proof of progress and the powers that be will move on.

Did they release the mugshot off the "strikingly similar" looking perp yet *rolls eyes*
Yeah they did. I guess there's some resemblance but also as a black guy myself, the only things Blake and the perp have in common are that they are slim, light skinned guys with bald heads and 5 o'clock shadow.

I mean you could've found 10 other people that looked like him

Police unions support this shit 100%. They want no accountability whatsoever for officers.
