Probably IS?

An explosion has killed at least 27 people and wounded nearly 100 in the Turkish town of Suruc near the Syrian border, the interior ministry says.
The blast occurred in the garden of a cultural centre at about 09:00 GMT. Hundreds of youth workers were reportedly staying there.

Officials are investigating the possibility it was a suicide bombing.
Suruc, located near the Syrian town of Kobane, houses many refugees who fled fighting there in recent months.

Kobane has been a battleground between militants from the Islamic State (IS) group and Kurdish fighters since September last year, when IS overran the town, forcing most of its residents to flee into Turkey.

The Federation of Socialist Youth Associations (SGDF) is reported to have had at least 300 members staying at the Amara Culture Centre to take part in rebuilding work in Kobane.

Pervin Buldan, a senior lawmaker from Turkey's pro-Kurdish HDP opposition party, told Reuters that local officials were investigating the possibility it was a suicide bombing.
"Turkish and Kurdish youth had come to cross into Kobane, and there were three or four days of activities planned," she said.
The hashtags #SuruçtaKatliamVar (There is a massacre in Suruç) and #SuruçMassacre started trending on Twitter soon after the explosion.
Enis Senerdem from the BBC's Turkish service said Kobane had become more stable recently after months of fighting, with Turkish groups trying to reach out and help people rebuild.

My condolences.

Man, the downfall of IS can't come soon enough. Not like this would stop any further bombings and magically restore order to the region, but at least it would be the first step towards some semblance of it.

Fucking misguided thick cunts.

Sorry, not very considered but, despite it sounding trite, I'm sick of them. I think AQ's number 3 was drone struck recently but suddenly AQ are almost like yesterday's news.

It won't get better unless these countries manage to work together and root out the entire region from IS fighters. And the sad part is that I doubt locking them up would be enough, because that has been tried before.

Jesus... that footage of the actual explosion is gruesome.

These IS morons need to be abso-fucking-letly destroyed. This isn't because of a religion. No religion justifies the killing of others.

I wonder how long it will take now before someone takes action against these savages.

My deepest sympathy to all Turkey-GAF. Stay safe!

That's horrific. Hopefully Turkey steps up its border defences because I'd guess that the porous borders with IS are the direct cause of attacks like this.

It's pathetic that someone sacrificed their life to murder people volunteering to help victims of war and to help rebuild. I hope this is an isolated incident and not ISIS setting their sights on Turkey.

I wonder what Stereogatari has to say about this.

I should not have watched that video. Cripes.

I kinda wanna go across the street and awkwardly inquire whether the Turkish peeps that run the supermarket there are affected by this. They've been so good to me, I would want to give them a collective hug or something if they really are in pain. But then again, that's just all kinds of weird and freaky. Dammit. How would you even broach that subject. "Oh, nice deal on tomatoes you got there. So, uh, about that explosion in Suruc..." :-/

So Turkey's not going to let this slide are they?

Turkey has looked the other way around through much of this mess because it rivals or maintained a difficult relationship with many of the countries weakened by IS's presence, but it will take absolutely no shit from anyone willing to create a mess within the nation's borders.

If this was the work of IS, they may have committed a very dangerous misstep. The Turkish Air Force alone could easily lay waste to much of their neighbouring forces.

Hand granades don't cause esplosions that big.
Yeah. They are more like huge firecrackers. This was definitely something else.

That would be a nice gesture.

RIP to all the families.

Damn. Do I want to watch this? This'll probably be the worst thing I'll ever see in my life

Not sure, depends on how sensitive you are.

They're standing at the building chanting with a banner being held.

All of a sudden.....BOOM! Fire engulfs the people in the front, right behind the banner.

It's not graphic or anything, but it shows a large group of youths crowded together around a banner chanting, and then the bomb goes off and the the person with the camera runs off. It's just a distressing scene, but you don't see a great deal.
