Wrestlemania has come and gone and now it's time to get back to the usual PPVs, Extreme Rules has always been one of the better ones, it's also the first regular PPV to be streamed on the network, let's run down the card!

WEELC Match: El Torito vs Hornswoggle

I have absolutely no idea how, but El Torito and Hornswoggle have actually been having a pretty fun feud, the fact that Torito is actually a good wrestler probably helped. For this match they're bringing in Short Sleeve Sampson (former midget wrestler for the company) so expect lots of weird hijinks that might be shockingly fun

Six-Man Warfare: The Shield vs Evolution

Well over a year later The Shield is still going strong, plans for these guys seem to change every day as they've teased breaking up numerous times but are now being positioned as top babyfaces. HHH is at the top of his game, Orton has been looking stronger since dropping the title last month, and Mason Ryan is competing despite being fired recently, guess he signed a contract extension or something, pretty sure this guy is taking the pinfall

Steel Cage Match: John Cena vs Bray Wyatt

Bray is the best thing about WWE programming right now, and bringing out a children's choir and putting them in goat masks has been the best segment of this entire build, Bray's got a bright future so you'd expect him to go over here, but we also expected that at Mania and we all know how that went

2 on 1 Handicap match: Alexander Rusev vs R-Truth & Xavier Woods

There's not a lot to say here, Rusev will take the piss out of these jobbers and look great doing it

jDYankqQGKyC.jpg

Intercontinental Championship Match: Big E vs Bad News Barrett

All of us who said Curtis Axel had a boring IC title reign really had no idea what we were in for when Big E won, this guy is one of the most boring IC champs in recent memory, even Miz and Axel were better and that's saying something. Meanwhile on the complete opposite side of the charisma spectrum there's Bad News Barrett, who's taken a shitty joke gimmick and turned it into complete gold to the point that he's over even with casual crowds through pure charisma, Barrett's got this and that's some good news.

jbkMNM1Eknwmmt.jpg

Divas Championship Match: Paige vs Tamina Snuka

AJ's taking time off and should be back soon, so Tamina's just a body for Paige to beat, Tamina sucks, please fire Tamina

jUqAPaA0QHOBE.jpg

Triple Threat Match: Mid Card Van vs Jack Swagger vs Cesaro

Swagger and Cesaro have unfortunately broken up and are now in some weird feud where they're both heels and have heel managers. Now you might be wondering "where does RVD fit into all this" ...good question.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Extreme Rules Match: Kane vs Daniel Bryan

If they really were trying to make Bryan the new Stone Cold, they'd have Kane win, and then lose the title back to Bryan 24 hours later.

What's the story behind Kane v Bry? I haven't watched since the first RAW after WM sorry...

Stephanie wants the title off Bryan, so she berated Kane to put the mask back on. Kane did, and that apparently unleashes the MONSTER! Bryan's real life father died, so he took three tombstones on the floor, stairs and announce table on Raw a few weeks back to write him off of TV. Now he's back in a neck brace and Kane has tried to drag Brie Bella (his real life wife) to hell.

It's an Extreme Rules match which should help the quality.

Basically Bryan is worthless for the most part so we have to pad out his time as champion with useless matches.

No it's just a dumb filler feud while they did Shield/Evolution.

It's a shame Big E has been turned into the blandest thing ever. His Vines prove that he can be really entertaining when given the opportunity. Same with Ryback.

Wait wait what?

Daniel Bryan holds two titles.
Cena is in a cage match with some dude.
RVD shows up outta nowhere.
Evolution is back.

The fuck is going on!?

The two titles are the one main title because Triple H really likes the WCW belt and they spent a lot of money on that WWE belt. They're in the process of changing their logo, and as you can tell, the WWE belt prominently features the soon-to-be old logo, so there'll probably be a new or modified belt in less than a year.

Cena is in a cage match because he beat "some dude", Bray Wyatt, clean at WrestleMania even though Bray Wyatt's two stablemates sort of interfered a little (mostly through Cena beating them up rather than the opposite). Because this doesn't make sense at all they've tried to change the meaning of the feud to have Bray Wyatt's symbolic message trapped in the cage and somehow it escapes if he wins the match. John Cena has no idea what to do with this feud and Bray Wyatt, while probably a top three talker in the company, can't really do a lot when the point of the feud changes three times in three weeks.

RVD is on a weird contract where he can take six month breaks, but he came back last year and lost a bunch. Weed or something, I guess.

Evolution is back because the Shield wouldn't leave any of the three dudes alone to bury Daniel Bryan and take his belt(s). Looking like a one-PPV type of thing.

Damn. Thanks for the debriefing!

Evolution vs. The Shield
Cesaro vs. Swagger vs. RVD
Cena vs. Wyatt maybe

Other matches can't believe they are considered PPV material. Oh wait I can't use term PPV right. WWE Network Special Event material.

Filler feud for Bryan.

Thanks guys! I like Krazy Kane a hell of a lot more than Korporate Kane so at least that's a good sign. I might go back and catch up on the Kane stuff today actually, at the very least the Brie ep.

This Extreme Rules should be a lesson on how to kill most of the good momentum they had going with Wrestlemania 30.

The Shield is the only thing left intact.

Cesaro is getting pushed. Barrett is getting a chance. Bray is somehow rising above the black hole that is Cena, and continues to be an interesting character. Paige is slowly making the Diva ivison interesting.

Things are not so bad - we've been through worse times.

Just because they're both popular doesn't mean they should be booked the same. The characters couldn't be further apart.

Cesaro is being pushed but the reactions he has been getting haven't been as good. Pairing him with Heyman has not worked since Heyman talks more about Lesnar than Cesaro. I'm not seeing it work at all.

Yeah, Barret and Paige have been great but they BNB wasn't at Mania and Paige was introduced after it. I was mostly refering to the guys that had tons of momentum going into Mania like Bryan or Wyatt.

And yes, things have been worse but it feels like they cooled off way too fast.

EDIT: Also, HHH vs Bryan 2 should've been a way better Main-Event. Keeping Corporate Kane againts the Shield makes more sense and would be better. Having Evolution together just doesn't do anything good long-term and moves the focus out of the champion. It's dumb.

I get the feeling that Kane vs Bryan is going to surprise some people. Sure it's a filler feud but I'm fine with it as long as it's a good match.

Shield vs. Evolution should be fun too. Can't be worse than last month's shield match.

As long as those two matches deliver, I should be ok with this.

See! The loss made him stronger!
Those kids are going to show up at the PPV and take of their robes to reveal Cena merch and sign Cena's theme a capella.

In true WWE fashion, they caught on to the fact that the Whole World In His Hands song was over and beat it to death Bob Crane style. That song is forever the song of death for him if he loses on Sunday.

Before we begin does anyone on the roster want to say anything about their current position? No?

LOL what is this unnecessarily cynical thing? Who cares what they want to call their own events?
What's he talking about anyway? They list them as PPV on the Network and their website.

The were calling the upcoming NXT a special event, but it is?

i'll give you Axel, but careful with those words

I just realized how silly Triple Threat matches are when something isn't on the line

And now its an elimination match. Like what's the point of breaking up pins and the like?

Hey CureVylash, you've been doing a great job on our OTs.

I'm way out of the loop.
Why's evolution back together?

They (Evolution) all want Bryan's title but they can't have it because they can't beat Bryan in a fair fight. When they try to interfere to take the title from Bryan, the Shield won't allow it. Therefore, Evolution has reunited to take out the Shield.

Also the Triple Threat is Elimination.

Observer said:
The match with Jack Swagger vs. Cesaro vs. Rob Van Dam, instead of being usual Triple Threat rules with the first pin winning, has been changed to a two-fall elimination match.

Still failing to see the point of a triple threat with no stakes but whatever.

Haha, its always funny to me whenever they start talking about Kane (or Taker) dragging someone to "Hell" when they pull them through the ring. When is the ring crew going to stop setting up the ring over the fiery pits of hell? You'd think they would've learned by now!
