Lively, beautifully envisioned gameworld is fun to explore; Interesting, if slightly shallow, morality system causes your character to evolve; Outstanding presentation makes the game exciting to see and listen to; The Lost Chapters adds some great new quests, extending the storyline; Budget price tag

The Bad said:
Main quest is quite short and linear; Combat system can be exploited, thanks to some overpowered spells; Character interaction is shallow; The new content is stacked at the end, forcing Fable players through the old stuff again

I'm getting this since I didn't play the original.

So basically they learned absolutely NOTHING from the first one.

Meh. I was sort of afraid it would work out that way, with most of the new stuff tacked on the end. Even so, for budget price I'll replace my Fable with TLC - I still enjoy the game and was gonna replay it anyway soon.

This is the original game, only with an expanded end-game.

As I put it before:
The Lost Chapters doesn't "change" Fable, nor does it "fix" Fable... All it does do is add more to it. And really, are people that were disappointed with the original, suddenly going to be impressed when they get handed more of the stuff that disappointed them in the first place?
Didn't like Fable? You probably won't like The Lost Chapters, either.

kk thought it was an expansion or semi-sequel. Still, they couldnt have made it longer?

They did make it longer. Not a ton longer though. Most of their efforts are probally going towards Fable II for the 360.

Obviously it's longer because there are more areas to explore and more side-quests within them. There are also some additions to the areas you had access to in the original and more things to buy in order to customize your character. Everything from weapons to clothing to poses/expressions and the like.

The "main quest" is the same length.

They did. The end-game is expanded, going beyond the battle with
Jack of Blades
, and apparently amounts to a couple more hours of play.

Biggest perk that I see here is that it should give some actual use to the
Sword of Aeons
, which is great, as it felt extremely tacked on in the original.

How odd.. this game was suppose to come out in november for xbox.. it snuck past radars and got in a few weeks before.. interesting.
It was always October, but since it was never given an exact day (and you never heard anything else about it) some people assumed it got delayed 'till November.

I can't believe it's already time to buy Fable again, I still haven't gotten around to buying Ninja Gaiden again. Any other games I own that I can buy again?
