Of all Sony's GaaSy farts, this was the one that actually had a chance. Management is so cooked over there right now. Let Bungie make the call to cancel this. Herman is scrambling trying to keep Alloy as the face of Playstation. Druck spends all his time figuring out ways to earn the admiration of pill addicted movie critics and Hollywood sleaze bags. Bend released a cult classic and immediately got put on licensed GaaS duty. (Though Druck did borrow the horde concept for TLOU2 on the way out the door). The remnants of Sony Japan are grinding away, making super solid stuff that Sony America doesn't know what to do with. It's just do dysfunctional. Now we're over halfway through the gen. Zero first party mega titles have been released. It's looking like Naughty Dog is going to skip the gen outright (PS6 launching early 2027 at the latest). PS5 Pro owners are gonna find a PS6 before they find a disc drive. Which then the hunt for a PS6 disc drive begins. Nintendo is releasing an actual gaming console, with experiences you can't get anywhere else. Sony is spending millions to build walls around the PS6 AMD APU to make sure it cannot play the million non PS6 games that the chip can run straight out of the box. It all seems so dumb.
