my family is having this BBQ this saturday and my Dad is bringing his cowokers and I'm already anxious about it. like not actually scared to meet them but I've become so bad at socializing it's really a drag. I don't even have the energy for smalltalk anymore, if I can't think of anything I just don't say stuff. gonna be fun!

he was actually talking about two different dudes. one is film guy and the other one is restaurant guy. and handsome is not a given. also both not old and film dude is actually still doing film stuff but restaurant guy gave up being vegan completely after his business failed :D
but I'm not even thinking about it that way, I hate being hooked up. people never get it right.

At least when family members try to hook you up. I trust friends a teeny bit more.
I never end up following up on family members' suggestions.

I think I kind of overdo that. I think I would be okay with dating someone assuming that the situation was optimal and light on the bullshit.
