Yaya might be the most thirsty character in any anime I've ever seen in an anime ever. The bloom is ridiculous though I can't tell if it's deliberate or a result of watching for free in sd on funimation sight. Action and story seemed good looking forward to more of this.

Since I'm such a nice guy, I decided to give this show another chance and see if this French girl is as great as everybody says and see if she makes the show worth watching, though the chances of that are nearly dick. But she didn't show up this episode, so I feel a bit cheated. Still though, this wasn't quite as terrible, since that other unidentified thing came in and took up most of the episode. Still some dumb moments though. They're busy strategizing and then Houki comes out and goes all "You better defeat it" and almost gets herself killed. God everyone in this show was so stupid. I remain convinced that Chifuyu let Ichika fight it in the hopes it would murder his ass.

Yozakura Quarter - Hana no Uta 01

Yep, this was enjoyable. Gives a nice introduction to the extremely large cast, showscase them just somewhat for us to know about them and even though being an original plot still makes it possible for them to segway back to the manga, which is awesome.

I'm even getting used to the character designs.

I think Mayaka got a lot of development in the second half, especially during the school festival arc.

I feel like she's the most well developed character outside of Oreki, even if she didn't always get as much screen time. Mayaka felt like emotional core of the festival arc, and was probably the most relateable character in the second half of the show.

Koga vs Kagura? Ick, who'd want to watch a battle between them. The only positive is that Koga lost his shards so now he shouldn't be in the series much anymore.

It was nice seeing everyone helping Haru getting his mindset straight after he realized how supportive they were over him. Still not entirely over his lost to Rin, but its better than having him moody like the first half of the episode.

Rin's reactions to everyone's swimming really illustrate how much it meant to him being with them when they were kids. Positively enjoyed his sour reaction to Rei, because of how obviously jealous he was that Rei was swimming with everyone and not him.

Actually the first episode was all original. From what I believe, they'll do original stories before returning back to adaptating the manga at some point.
