As a major fan of crossover stories, the SRW games are like a dream come true. The only story related thing I care about in SRW are the crossover interactions and nothing else though. I read on a wiki somewhere that Kamina and Kallen get into an arm-wrestling fight over who gets to name their mecha "Gurren". But alas, it's nothing but Japanese text as these games are never localized.

THIS IS THE KIND OF STUFF YOU ONLY FIND IN FANFICTION. Oh how I want to see that in English so badly...

Speaking of SRW, think there's any chance of seeing Gargantia or Valvrave showing up in a future SRW?

Valvrave is a BanNam property so its almost guaranteed to show up. Just give it a few more years. Gargantia is more iffy but I believe its gonna show up eventually since they all show up eventually.

There are lotsa random crossover stuff like Ryoma and Kamina getting into a fight over who was more hot blooded, Lockon being the sniper who shoots Rolo's Knightmare in Geass. Hell, the whole Geass-Gundam Wing crossover in Z2 is a masterpiece of fanservice one after the other.

There's zero chance of the licensed SRW coming out in English barring a miracle so I suggest just playing it and enjoying it even for just the system or even with the aid of a FAQ.

Arpeggio of Blue Steel - 13 minutes into Episode 1

I remember why the PVs convinced me to stay away from the show. It's really superficial, but the CG is way too distracting for me. Timing on some movements feel really weird to watch and it isn't really animated any better than 2D animation would be (I'd say it's worse). The posts mentioning that the girls were cute had me interested, but I don't think I can continue watching this show.

The World God Only Knows - Season 2 - Episodes 1-2

Much better! Thank Kami ni sama. The last episode to S1 was so blah. We immeditaely get back to cute Elsie!

First girl this time was cute, liked her better than Track girl from S1. The little cat was sooo cute. Also loved her all dressed up during the date.

Looks like
Haqua
has joined the party!

Yamato 2199 1-4

Too much display porn, too much art assets that reminds me of porn.

Also I'm enjoying the mass amount of things going on. And skin tight suits.

Actually, I'm enjoying it period. It's pretty solid so far.

Finished Natsume Yuujinchou. A rather interesting note to go out on. Some pretty devastating scenes there. Totally bummed its over. Best older show I've found in ages.

Makes me want to know how the manga relates. I know one of my favourite characters, Sasada, basically is absent. Are the show stories taking from the manga? Is there are pickup point in the manga from where the show ends?

Okay. I'm really enjoying Gundam Build Fighters right now despite not really having seen many Gundam shows so I wondered how SRW compared. GBF is having a similar effect in that I'm not really that interested in buying Gunpla's but I kind of want to take a look at some of the anime series like 0800 more now.

I probably should have asked in my last post but do you think there would be many problems getting into the series if I were to end up buying Z3 first?

I regularly come to like shows only after playing with them in SRW. Case in point: we all know I hated 00, but in SRW I suddenly don't hate it nearly as much. Also SRW got me interested in MSN and G Gundam, so it has been a force for good.

MJP was rally enjoyable, I guess it was a time where I was iching for a mecha show, and I loved how the showed looked, just beautiful and I also liked the characters

I actually disliked the mecha and felt the plot was incredibly cliched at times. Then I realized I was being a stuck up jerk about what was basically meant to be a stupid cartoon show for kids, let it go, realized that for all its failings it was at least a product the makers cared to finish unlike Ass of Titan and then I liked it. Not my favorite show ever, but I came to like it a lot more. Similarly, I liked Valvrave at first, then I hated it, then I watched Code Geass, and then I loved it.

I'm not even in the lead. Been too busy doing things to watch anime recently.

Apocalypse Zero? Can't remember if the suit was red or not.

Oh Gosh, speaking of Apocalypse Zero if there is one show I can recommend people not watch in a sense that is "you gotta see this but I'm gonna warn you against it" it's Apocalypse Zero. "It's only two episodes!" is perhaps the most Satanic thing ever uttered in this forum.

ANIME GAF I REQUIRE AN ANSWER I am looking for a show that had Freddy Mercurie riding on a horse. My brother and I saw it once years ago and all we remember is that, that the kids were in high school, and that they always told the viewer to go and read the manga. What is this show?

Your thinking about Corimate High... I'm spelling it wrong :(

Thanks, I'll check it out.

A typical instance in Macross of why Minmay is the Worst Girl

On National TV:

"Oh Hikaru? He's not my boyfriend! I don't know what song you're talking about at all!"

Kaifun: "I would totally fuck my first cousin. And I am definitely pressuring her into marrying me on national television. Yessir."

I'm assuming you've seen Eiken.

Yamato 2199 - 1-10
It's great when a show that has a strong creative vision actually has the writing, art direction, and music to back it up in such a stellar fashion. I'm consistently surprised by how much better this continues to get with each episode. The characters, the tech porn, the attention to detail, the locales, the modernized yet delightfully old school designs and music are all very appealing to me. I'm loving it so far.

Also, the first OP (and its following variation to a lesser degree) get me really pumped. I watch it every time.

They went a little too hard with setting up Rommel, but . . . he seems like a cool dude (as it typical for Rommelclones in anime). Going from the beautiful, gloomy backgrounds of Smurfcity to the confines of the battleship was a little jarring.

I think that was
a fucking periscope in space in the preview.
What.

The CG and animation keep getting better after ep1

It makes sense bro!

It makes zero sense since
they should be floating out an array of sensors instead of relying on a single one for interdimensional warfare
, but fuck it, it's awesome!!!

yamato - 13

Yeah that was awesome. You can't go wrong with a
submarine battle
in space.
