Just making sure. You and I have a fundamental difference in our ideas of quality.

That's not true. You and I agree in a lot of ways. We like the same foods, drink and generally enjoy the same taste in women. I don't want this little bump in our relationship to lead you to such extreme and broad generalizations. This is just one show in the hundreds of anime you and I have watched together so lets not let this get between us.

Hey guys, friend is trying to remember the name of an anime he watched a long while back. This is what he remembers: People fighting in a quarry, main character is wearing a red suit (kind of like a full body suit from 'Casshan: Robot Hunter') and when he got hit there was tons of blood (eva-style). Girl screams when protag and enemy hit eachother at same time. She thinks he dies but he falls from sky un-suited.

Pretty damn vague, but thought it would be worth a shot to post here. He thinks its from 90s or 80s.

Red suit like Casshan makes me think the Hurricane Polymar OVA but that fight doesn't happen in it, I don't think. Voltage Fighter Gowciazer has a red suited hero that loses the suit in the end but that fight doesn't exactly play out like that either.

dunno if it was posted, search fails me, this is Tamako Love Story plot synopsis, stolen from 4chan.

>Introduction:
Love, Batons, and Adolescence-
A completely new film told by Kyoto Animation!

The young girl knew nothing.

She unconsciously desired to stay at this location,
working with her family.
If everything stayed the same, that would be fine with her.

However, her childhood friends and newer friends change bit by bit.
They slowly become adults.
Even in the shopping district things change and stay the same.

In spring of her final year of high school,
That girl finally starts to think about ---Falling in love.

Tamako Kitashirakawa knew nothing
about that feeling of being in the entrance to the universe.

And so that girl took one step forward.

Tamako took off.

>Story:
It's spring.
As usual, the newly promoted 3rd year Tamako Kitashirakawa has nothing in her head but mochi.

One night on the walk home from school, she talks with her friends as usual.
Everyone's nervous about what lies ahead in their futures.
Tamako also nonchalantly replies that she wants to continue the mochi business.

At the same time, the boy who lives across the street from her and who spends time with her, Mochizou, makes a certain resolution.

Various things change around her and little by little Tamako's heart begins to sway...

Yamato - 6

Man I love this series. The fact that they remembered to account for that last shot the laser got off
before the base was destroyed makes me really believe I can really dig into the internal logic of the their space lore. Most series would be like, base destroyed... no reason to spend money on any "unnecessary" animation and totally write off that last shot
.

Apocalypse Zero? Can't remember if the suit was red or not.

Whoa! Sunday without God Ep. 13 (OVA EP) comes out on January 22, 2014!

Strangely enough. No cover yet. I love the cover for these though.

Wow. None of the ideas presented are particularly new or novel, but they're just executed so well that it never matters. Framing the story of the
Garmaroid
with the the observer's story was good stuff.

And even as the story of the
robot
unfolds, we see the XO develop in parallel, with the start of a blossoming conflict with the security officer tossed in for good measure.

The Light of El Cantare
kayos once posted a clitoris I think.

Unknowingly. Instead of a ban, he got a biology lesson.

I remember the gore more than the actual contents of the OVA.

I'm saying that what you do remember sticks in your mind! Somehow I think that the question would be phrased more along the lines of "can anyone remember the title of that anime with the hairy cannibalistic bbw bdsm giantess and the cock-goblin?" if it was AZ.

Koimonogatari aka Kaikimonogatari aka SWAGmonogatari END

NOOOOOOOOOOO KAIKI!!!! :(

Brillant.....utterly brillant. This whole arc from start to end has been a wonderful thing to watch, it's amazing how this arc managed to overturn every negative aspect of Kaiki in terms of it's anime watchers into one swag motherfucker. Truely a anti-hero. I truly hope Nishio would write more of Kaiki. Nothing can top this arc.

White Album 2 13

Well. It was definitely a realistic portrayal of love and loss. Touma started out as best girl, became annoying a bit past the halfway point and quickly scaled back up to best girl in the last 3 or so episodes. Damn. Don't know if this will have a second season but I really do hope it is. Especially since Haruki isn't AS big of a piece of shit as the guy in the first WA. Also because Touma deserves a happier ending.

I don't I don't think. I think I'm happy where it ended, rather than having a potential future spelled out for me.

Subete no aware
I liked every episode as well. Even the infamous episode 6.
So the same number of people who like every Hyouka episode is also the same number of people who like KKK. lol
I looked at the thread when I was watching Yamato 2199 and talking to you more about it and noticed that you were the only one who voted for it. I don't remember how much of the show had been released at that point but I felt bad for the show because it's so good. I felt I'd make up for it by voting for it this year and making others more aware of it. It's nice then that it's sort of sweeping the thread right now, haha. Now more of non-AnimeGaf can become aware of its greatness! :)
Click the link again! That's not my AOTY 2012 ballot, that is my Television 2013 ballot. It has NO chance of winning, since no one here watches real Television except like M_Night and Kurita, and they'd be the crazy people voting for Jdrama anyway, and technically I didn't even watch it as it was televised since I watched the BD episodes, but they don't need to know that and it's still among my favourite television shows of 2013. It's certainly worth "wasting" a top vote for, just like I wasted a slot to bring up Yamato in my AOTY 2012 ballot. lol
