I'm still not sure what Chu-2 was trying to say when it got all preachy in those last few episodes.
Running away from reality and retreating into a fantasy world that's so delicately balanced that one move will cause it to crumble around your feet and send you into eternal depression is for pros? Only conformists deal with their problems in healthy ways!

Wow, I have no words... this completely managed to overthrow any expectation I had. Not only It was a complete clusterfuck that didn't bring any resolution (expected) but it didn't also answer any fucking question. Even freacking R2 managed to do that.
Welcome to the new record breaker for worst valuated episode on Nico Live (although it seems technical problems during the video streaming also contributed to its demise):
Agreed, and I honestly think this makes Wolf Children better. It's not like the film is betraying itself with Ame's character arc or anything. Having characters that generate dissonance among viewers and who can be legitimately interpreted in contradicting ways is one of the most interesting things in storytelling, when done right. So even if Ame was indeed an asshole, I don't see how that would detract from the movie itself, as it is.
I think what's really interesting about Wolf Children as a story is that it doesn't really tell anyone how they should feel about anything in the story. Instead it presents something as it is, and lets the viewer draw their own conclusions on the story which was told. There are a few things in the narrative which I find that while I disagree with certain choices the characters make, it also makes a more realistic story where the characters feel like real people who aren't designed only to make "right" or "wrong" choices.
Heh, when I saw you previous post I was precisely going to mention as an example Grave of the Fireflies and how many viewers tend to condemn Seita and even felt infuriated by his actions. I don't share the opinion of those who use it as an excuse to criticise the film, although I can actually understand a sentiment of disgust. These mediums aren't only about uplifting entertainment but also grant a wide variety of experiences interesting 'per se'. Instances that although we could morally condemn on our own lives, can also make us try to understand sentiments in very particular and alien contexts, or provoke thoughts and reactions beyond the safest of our zones.
the presentation of that final parting scene starring Hana and Ame
that I think clashes a little with the idea of a nonobtrusive narrative from earlier parts of the film; in my opinion it is a little manipulative towards the spectator in order to soften the blow, as it covers the farewell in some grandiloquent beauty instead of delivering a more subdued setting in line with previous scenes. So I don't think it is totally fair to say the film doesn't makes appear such decisions as "right or wrong" when it 'sweetens' the deal at times.
Te-kyū with its multiple seasons to come can singlehandedly keep them afloat, in my eyes. And it is also cheap to make, exploiting Mr. Itagaki, so it must be profitable for them!
Not so long ago they brought up a key visual and all, I think it's going well. Katabuchi also was (re)tweeting this an hour ago (which made me remember about the film, lol)
Mr. Katabuchi writes a weekly column at WEB ANIMESTYLE (http://animestyle.jp/column/1300/), where he most of the time talks about ideas and happenings around or related to the production of the movie... so from what I can infer it is progressing, but just very slowly.
Yeah, I thought the show before that was relatively enjoyable, but I didn't like those last couple of episodes much at all. Too heavy on the melodrama, and an ending that
Everybody keeps talking about Kaiki and I'm not even that far yet. Last episode I watched was about Shinobu and how to make an entire episode out of stills.
That's like asking if Bruce Willis gets himself into another random violent encounter in the next Die Hard movie, or if he actually spends more time with his family instead.
I haven't seen it but wasn't the plot of the latest Die Hard movie that Bruce Willis teams up with his son? Family bonding during violent encounters, haha.
Haha, let's just say that mutagen was a staple in my cartoon diet growing up, and I would get sad when things had to go back to normal by the end of the episode.
Naw, that's more like a random thread of things people watched. I mean, there's Box Office GAF... but that's the equivalent of NPD GAF.
That said, maybe I'm wrong. lol
If a second season is announced you don't have to watch it if you really don't want to,haha.
Locking the Hazama fellow in the brig isn't really enough. I kinda saw all of this coming, the foreshadowing in this show is pretty great. The scene in question is when they were chatting and Nii-what's-her-face had an Izumo plan cup. From then I was suspecting this could happen.
Those Iskandarians are tricksy. Now I wonder what will happen.
Akira holds her best girl status that fightan power.
K, that fight with Chrollo against Killuas dad and granddad was badass. My mind was in shock when the top of the Crunchyroll description said that Chrollo was dead. But thankfully that wasnt the case. Didnt exactly want that guy to be more of a mystery than he already was.
I love how smart these villains are. Chrollo knew that he was no match for the two master assassins so what better idea than to hire an assassin to kill the guys asking assassins to assassinate him? These guys are actually smart.
Quite a shock to seeing the villains actually succeeding in their plans. Even if they did suffer the loss of two of their members, they still kinda got what they wanted in the end. I gotta say, the Phantom Troupe are some of the best villains Ive ever seen in any anime. I really liked how Pakunoda could only transfer her memories into the others, even though it ended up costing her life, as she couldnt come back with the boss so she didnt know what to say. She practically knew she was done for.
Theyre so complex in how they act, and how they deal with every situation thrown at them. Yeah, theyre assholes, but at least they arent one-note assholes.
But now that thats all done and over with, its time for the next arc and judging by the opening, I think its going to be awesome.
Hisoka teaming up with Gon and Killua?!? What madness is this?!?
Yeesh, Gons dad is kind of an asshole. I mean, the entire reason Gon went looking for the game was to look for a clue for Gings whereabouts. But when he starts the game he basically says Lolnope you cant find me here. Have fun!
But then again, it would be good to state this at the start as opposed to the end of the arc. If they did that, the entire arc could end up being pointless, so kudos there.
Whoa, weve got a loli joining the game too? Aw man, this is gonna be a fun arc.
Hito is my gateway to bad anime. That said, until I see Eiken Madp is reigning as having recommended the worst with Apocalypse Zero. Two episodes my ass.

Psycho-Pass Eps. 1-3
One of the few animes to immediately grab my attention from episode 1. The cyberpunk theme and the the concept that a victim could be so psychologically damaged that they are also condemned by the very people who were meant to rescue them is such an interesting concept. The use of latent criminals whose sole job is to find other latent criminals reminds me of that cyberpunk trailer from CD Projekt Red. Hopefully the show keeps its momentum in future episodes.
Finally cracked open the complete series on Blu-Ray I bought from Amazon a few weeks ago. Really enjoyable series so far. It reminds me a lot of Bleach in some ways, but it takes itself much less seriously most of the time. The art style is charming as well.

BlazBlue: Alter Memory Episode 12 The Price for the Future(END)
These 82 days watching it felt like a waste of time. I could have spent that time struggling to get through the game or enjoying the comedy in the handheld games versus being bored by this. I kept looking for it to pick up but it barely did. Shallow reasons were the only thing keeping it interesting (the va's, Niisama, Faylan song, the ED song, Terumi's voice). Ending felt like it was basically saying buy the next games please. A Blazblue scene collection would have been better than this. 3/10.

episode 1 was like the only good episode, it's downhill from there. Well, it's occasionally enjoyable I guess but nah unfortunately this show has no "momentum" whatsoever, you'll find out very soon if you keep watching, you shouldn't.
So with help behind the scenes from Anime GAF I was able to watch this little gem. The dub is notably bad. Not bad to Garzey Wing's level, but it's pretty damn bad all the same. That said, I found the film oddly endearing, in a way. Dracula is ultimately just a man trying to have a normal family life who is caught up in a struggle between Heaven, Hell, and Man. Every single force out there is gunning for him and in the end it doesn't end well. It's oddly tragic, in spite of the many, many goofy bits that Dracula finds himself
losing his son and forced to fight him
, but if what Harker said was true, it was also fairly karmic. I cannot understate how bad the dub is, though. When mourning the
loss of his son
, Dracula's screams are best described as "Junior High Student performing Macbeth".
Anyway, the arcs I can recommend from this season without reservation are: The Tiger Arc, The Snake Arc and this arc. Mainly because they're free of little girls!
