O_OThe problem with her character is that literally nothing she does makes a lick of sense and this problem gets worse when you get through her character arc, not better. Seriously, there is no cogent reason why Saber wants to redo the selection, and for some insane reason none of the other characters ever tell her how dumb her motivation is, nor the fact that England is still a thriving first-world country. Ironically, several characters tell Shirou off for his weird shonen-hero acts, yet Shirou is considered a way worse character than Saber is for some reason.
wutAlso I just found out there will be a new Milky Holmes series

Did the license get picked up by anyone by the way?
Been catching up on the new Hitsugi no Chaika season. Really liking it.
Maybe I will read the light novels some time.
Also, I finished Cardfight Vanguard Linkjoker the other day, after a Vanguard hiatus for like a year. Now to watch Legionmate next. Though I am disappointed to hear the newest series doesn't have the old characters as the protagonists.

No, you are the one that doesn't make a lick of sense.
You realise Britain was invaded by Germanic peoples right? And that they took over the land, replaced the culture, language, etc? That's why we speak English today, a Germanic language. King Arthur fought against the invaders, the Saxons, but eventually lost, and the Anglo-Saxons took over and settled in Britain.
Like, cool, England is a thriving country today. But 'England' didn't even exist in King Arthur's time. Hell, the name England itself comes from the German tribe Angles, one of the tribes that invaded Britain. I don't see how the knowledge that the people who conquered her people and replaced their culture etc, founded a prospering nation, would be any form of solace for her.
Hey guys, is Digimon Xros Wars (the 3 seasons of it) worth a watch? I'm going trough all the Digimon's seasons to prepare for the new one and was wondering if Xros is any good.

Guys, my friend is raging like hell to make me watch this Gundam: The Origin thing that will launch in the future. Is it going to be worth a watch? I never watched Gundam before, so that's one reason that he is bugging me.
Series Composition: Norimitsu Kaiho (Nitroplus)
It seems like it's just lending his name. The main script writer likely will be that one.
Did those servants care as much about their kingdom and people as Saber does? Every body is different. Saber became king of her own choice. She chose to pull the sword out of the rock. Her mindset was difference. She became king specifically to make her country better and lead it to victory. However she lost and her kingdom perished. She has a very strong sense of duty and responsibility over that. Also, it should be noted (Fate route spoilers just in case)The same could be the said for any of the "ancient" Servants like Ishkandar or Alexander, all empire eventually crumble or are beaten and replaced by other newer empires, and they aren't emo because of it.

Hm, I'd probably pick up the manga instead if I were you, Vertical's hardcover release of it is beautiful.
Oh definitely, it's one of the top things to look forward to next year.
Just a couple ofWeirdest fanservice scene ever (from Lupin III vs Conan movie)
IN short , watch the First 2 seasons ( 50 eps ) and ignore the rest ..you'll thank me later .
And again, her kingdom was conquered, the culture of her people and their language wiped out. To what extent were they killed off horribly or just put into slavery or servitude is an on going argument and one without a definitive answer but those were clearly not very happy times for them. I don't think it's much of a stretch that she feels regret over this, especially since she seems to spend all her free time in some Camlannesque time limbo.
You're ignoring the whole bit about how the Saxons, Arthur's enemies, eventually took over Britain...
I liked the speech, but I don't think the execution was that great. It was clearly written as something improvised, with awkward pauses and such, and yet the other characters just watched and watched like it were a formal speech. It just seems rather artificial when played out like that on screen, even if the speech itself was good.
Even regarding the speech itself though, I think a big factor in enjoying it is identification. I could identify with what he was talking about there in some ways and so I enjoyed it. However, if there's no identification, I think the entire episode probably would seem like a giant waste of time.
Not sure if this is the right place to ask but I'm starting to get kind of interested in anime and I'm wondering if I should watch DragonBall since its kind of a classic. If so, should I bother with the original Dragonball or skip straight to Dragonball Z?

Well, you're bolding three points here and saying they don't make sense, and only referring to the last off-hand comment. It doesn't change her motivation being terrible.O_O

Even assuming I bought this, the more salient point is that whether she redid the selection or not was almost assuredly irrelevant and she had no reason in particular to believe that she had personally done something that would have been corrected by someone else. None of this ever gets pointed out because nobody ever has a serious conversation with Saber about her motives. The fact that the English territory was conquered several times in the next hundred years should have been some kind of clue here.
I mean, I've played Crusader Kings II a bunch and I can confirm that when you play as England all that happens is that you keep getting invaded. That's just life!

Ef - A Tale of Memories 04
Haha. Kinda weird.
Anyway... Hiro seems to be throwing away um... is it bills? And him and Kei isn't actually related, right? Both Miyako and Kei makes food for Hiro and one of them is better than the other at doing that.

She thinks she was unfit to be king, and thus by redoing the selection, someone who actually was fit to be king would pull it out after she passedWell, you're bolding three points here and saying they don't make sense, and only referring to the last off-hand comment. Really, the best reason we're given for Saber's personal failure was that her personality sucks, yet she has a consistent belief across the Fate universe about how the King should act (i.e. just like Saber, which Rider-Zero points out is stupid).

Avoid, I tried watching DBZ but gave up, it takes forever to get going and its pretty nonsensical right from the start.
Instead, you should watch Hunter x Hunter (2011)
Probably the best advice DTL has ever given!
Dragonball is indeed a classic. I like DBZ for different (more nostalgic) reasons, but I think the manga is better for both.
