Pretty easy. The show is hideous enough that I lost all interest in watching it.
I disagree. Im staring at part one up on my shelf like ;_;
But I must keep strong and wait until the opportunity to watch it.

The fact that it's presented in a way that makes it kinda hot is a lot of what made it so unsettling to me.

But seriously, as far as anime goes, Utena's lead characters don't really come across as middle schoolers. Whereas thousand-year-old loli vampires are dubious, a mid-20s porn actress playing the role of a "barely legal" schoolgirl is fairly standard fare.
And something related to this that I wanted to comment on but forgot to:

Utena's behavior after losing her virginity is like the antithesis of normal teenage behavior. Other than a blush here and there, it was just another day in the life of Tenjou Utena.

Busou Shinki - Shitty, pandering show for otakus who wants to fap to dolls.
I pretty much agree with you. They come across as much older than they are. But it is the story it is, so it's weird to me.
That said, Touga and Saionji are in high school, so that's a different story. And their sizzling bromance is fabulous.
It's probably best to be rested for the home stretch. The symbolism comes fast and furious in the final three episodes, so you want to be prepared.

I get you, broseph. Something that might have thrown off the tone of the scene for me is that I was expecting a fake-out, like it was ChuChu all along.
At least Morgiana is in. I hope Alibaba or Aladdin gets in.
Is the Valkyria Chronicles vibe as pronounced as the screens always make it look?
Valkyria has nothing on this show tank-wise. This is REAL tanks with REAL guts and REAL glory. No magic soldiers and gun lances here.
Well, the Valkyria part was always the weakest aspect.

Virulent garbage. I think I just don't like any of the characters. None of them are distinct, and their interactions with one another are like an emulation of cop shows than actually feeling genuine. The police work has no logical progression or means of playing out, scenes that belong in a show like this are simply strung together. Most of it in this episode was solved by super technology suddenly appearing and saving the day, and at no point did it feel like anyone working the case was using their brain.

The main characters lamenting over the death of Spooky Boogie was pathetic, and the show's lack of emotion causes what is supposed to be some deep inner turmoil or something to instead feel like half-hearted whining. The action stuff in this show is just awful. I don't really know what else to say about it. The moment plot armor saved two characters from an explosion they should have been in I knew the show had lost me. It is absolutely mind boggling that as far as technology reaches the police essentially just run around wildly with guns shooting at people. And I simply cannot suspend my disbelief anymore of the way justice works in this show. Some of these are simple arrests to make, but instead people with high crime ratings are executed on the spot. Needlessly messy, but its difficult to imagine the reliance on technology for that split second could potentially put innocent lives at risk.

Hey, what do you know, a good episode. Not much has been revealed, but hints have been given and this could turn out well. It could turn to crap too, but hey, I'll take the risk. I'm hoping to see some more robot battles, maybe even the appearance of Gunvarrel, that would be cool.

The art looked a bit uglier and the animation worse than usual at certain scenes, which is probably the first time for the show. The filter is still here.
