Speaking as someone who doesn't like tease-stories, I found Kanokon surprisingly tolerable because of the protagonist, who is this timid boyish kid voiced by Noto Mamiko. His frightened reactions to Chizuru's agressiveness were cute enough that it didn't annoy me the way most "I'm allergic to women" protagonists do.


This on the other hand was really boring.

But I usually don't like harem anime so I'm probably not the best person to take recommendations from on this.

Maybe it's because LxB! had a lot more characters, I felt Kanokon felt like each episode was the same thing over and over for the most part. And I didn't like the kid in Kanokon much, he felt too typical of a harem lead to me.

Gintama says otherwise. The only show I get legitimacy excited for a recap. Best parts of that show.

Put Excel Saga on the list of shows with legit good recap episodes. The trick to this sort of thing is to frame the reused footage in an interesting way, whether it be with self-referential comedy, character commentary, etc.

idk, all I see him being any different is that he's a shota. And maybe it's just me, but I felt that Akiharu from LxB! had more of a spine than most harem leads.
That said, I don't dislike Kanokon that much. It was more enjoyable than something like Samurai Girls.

Eiken, Kemekko DX, you could make a case for Rito from TLR, DearS, Ebiten, Nagasarete Airantou.

To be fair, Leika at least wasn't the one who developed the The Ultimate Super Weapon (I liked the scene where they explained the reason it was called The Ultimate Super Weapon was because Killer hadn't named it yet), which, coincidently hurls FIREBALLS HOTTER THAN THE SUN. Yeah.

The Dinosaur aliens turning up was the moment where I finally completely lost it, and just started laughing hysterically. I mean, it's like the threat of FIREBALLS HOTTER THAN THE SUN wasn't bad enough, so they had to raised the stakes by introducing SPACE DINOSAURS.

And, yes, BGBW has barely just scratched the full insanity of what the movie contains.

IIRC He only really considers himself short and such, everyone else thinks he's a sexual deviant. Girls Bravo probably has the main character treated as a runt more than the kid in Kanokon.
