Fallout 4 - Multiple E3 Gameplay Demos, Releasing November 10th, 2015

I like the roleplaying options the origin story offers as well. It's open-ended enough that any of the following could be true:

-You're a traditional young couple with a new baby.

-You're a traditional young couple who has recently adopted a baby.

-You're a duo of psychopaths who kidnapped a baby to raise as their own.

-You're a psychopath who hides his/her violent passions from his/her ordinary spouse.

etc.

The Amazon UK postings disappeared. Is it because it sold out or because it was a pricing error?

Will they honour that £78 for the people that got it?

Possibly stupid question, but for the pip-boy app to work, wouldn't the game have to be online?

Maybe an optional online mode? Or some other way to manage it?

If Persona 5 comes out this year it's going to be the greatest RPG year of all time.

I might need to fake my own death if that happens. Won't have near enough time to devote to this and MGSV and Persona 5 and NMS and and and...

Might as well get to planning my own death...I mean. Baking a cake. Yeah. That's what I'm doing. "Cake"

Another thing, so if your character is married then does that mean that romance options are ruled out? Will that mean a removal of perks such as black widow?

Also what if you want to role play as a homosexual character?

Are people really expecting a lot of dialogue options or NPC interaction? Don't think that's ever been a thing Bethesda's good at. Not in Morrowind, not in Oblivion, Fallout 3 or even Skyrim. It ain't going to change now, not especially with voiced PC.

I'd classify (Bethesda) Fallout as open world Action RPG-lite with emphasis on Action.

Hmm? Where?

It seems like all I can see is a normal family with normal mom and dad...

I am interested to know because I'd like to play as a psychopath, kekekekekek.

Skills getting the axe sucks, having a few ranks (are they going to be shared with perks?) doesn't make up for it.

Everything else was fantastic though!

If it was PC you'd think they'd use better anti-aliasing.

Games not quite done yet and they've been pretty up front about showing live code...so it could just mean that's what they had of the game up to that point.

How do we know it wasn't PC using an Xbox controller?

We don't, but usually in this case it's whatever the lead platform is and that has usually been PC, though they could have used an X1 for the demo.

What the fuck

My hopes of a gamecube surprise announcement have been elevated by these screenshots
(I think the game looks fine and cant understand some of the comments)

Yeah. You get Fallout. It's basically shut up and shoot with a lot of blah blah blah

(I like how it starts off all complicated and RPG heavy but basically always resorts to that)

I was joking I think the game looks fantastic. Those are definitely not X1 shots... lol. X1 is the new PC controller i think, at least it comes with the Oculus Rift

EDit: Oh and I love how you wake up 200 years later. There must be a big story about what happened with you and your wife and child. Maybe your child is new game +? Or a primary companion. Would be too cool. They can go a lot of directions with that that impact gameplay

Why would these things be ruled out? It was stated the PC is the sole survivor of Vault 111, meaning his/her family is dead.

Game looks amazing. The animated pip boy menu is a nice change.

What i don't like is the building your own house thing. I play Fallout to be immersed in the world and atmosphere. Not to be an architect.

You character being voiced is also not good imo. I want to feel like the character i'm playing is me. That's lost now that you here someone else talking. I'm no longer playing my own story or going my own path. There better be an option to turn the voice off.

Not a fan of the cut scenes either.

Courtesy of an RPG Codex member, it looks like skills are still in but changed in some way:

Instead of 1-100 range, it's some type of ranking system.

Probably, although ranking could be based on a threshold of the 1-100. Similar to how it was in FO3/NV where you needed say 75 in lock picking for Hard locks or Hard terminals. Every 10 points could represent a rank increase for specific tasks like crafting while the 1-100 would effect things normally.

Why would these things be ruled out? It was stated the PC is the sole survivor of Vault 111, meaning his/her family is dead.

so if your family died would you then become gay?

edit:

also, not everyone who has to suffer through the loss of their family then decides to just move on as soon as the opportunity arises

OK guys I'm calling now something that will definitely happen in the story.

We will meet our kid in the story which is at the point older than us since it was awoken years before us (our significant other will probably be dead or very very old.)

Definitely.

Probably 1000 people already said this right?

Also, just to get the super nerdy FO lore stuff out of the way: annoyed that they're leaning on Super Mutants and the Brotherhood of Steel, again.

Graphics look pretty bad, wouldn't surprise me if this was a last gen release that they dumped onto the new consoles.

but, more importantly, the gameplay stuff looked great. Witcher 3, Bloodborne, Pillars of Eternity, and Fallout 4 ... 2015, the year of the RPG.

They honoured my Witcher 3 CE which they priced £20 too cheap so I don't see why not.

Maybe you can play through the whole game with maybe only building a small home in the beginning. The whole building thing could possibly be just a side thing to get more out of the game which you wouldn't be forced to do.
