Fallout 4 - Multiple E3 Gameplay Demos, Releasing November 10th, 2015

The game looks great. Looks like they've added tons of variety to just about everything. This is one of the things I love about the fallout world.

And crafting your own little town? This is basically what I hoped to see. Exactly what I hoped to see. Beyond what I hoped to see.

In fact, I was thinking about learning how to mod to do something crazy just like this. But they've gone ahead and did it themselves.

Phantom pain easily, though I'm admittedly have been on Kojima's wild ride for years now. I guess I would have been on Todd's if the stars aligned...

2015's otherwise you may have a point. Really interested in everybody's gone to the rapture as well but we all know thats gonna be story over innovation.

Suppose it's less a case of interesting and more what I know I'll like.

If Phantom Pain had released last year then it would have won hands down. I'm personally looking forward to Until Dawn and Battlefront more than Phantom Pain though.

We on some Dark Cloud shit. I love it.

Because I've played the last three mediocre Bethesda games.

You can say you didn't like them if you want to but to call them mediocre is basically just slander.

If nothing else, those games achievement. (I'm assuming that you're referring to FO3, NV and Skyrim there btw and not some of the Bethesda published stuff from last year).

I'm not one to go all out and crazy with different building mechanics like I see people do in Minecraft, but it sure looks to be enjoyable and easy, so why not!

The gun-play and movement seems less floaty like typical Bethesda games so thats a plus too.

And out in november FFS!!!

so awesome.

I'm referring to Skyrim, Oblivion, and FO3. New Vegas is fantastic but it's an Obsidian title.

And slander? Hardly. Their games are mediocre as hell.

Not everyone is refined enough to enjoy bethesda games, that's what happens when a game has unique and unorthodox systems, i'm fine with it, people can run along and play witcher 3 and batman while i hoard toy dolls in my custom built house.

LOL what?

What you are asking for is a gay or lesbian character. "LGBT character" means nothing. LGBT is a group of people, not one individual.

Besides, who says he is not bisexual. Just because he is married doesn't mean he is straight.

Who says I don't want to be trans in the game? I wrote LGBT because I wanted to be inclusive. And no I don't want to play as a closeted gay man or closeted lesbian woman, what we have seen so far only allows for a bisexual or closeted gay/lesbian.

It's bethesda, after the shinyness and hype wears off and you get the game, you fall in love with the world for the first 10 hours before you slowly realise the flaws of the writing and the designed game systems and then after that wait for mods to make the game playable.

Happened to Oblivion, Skyrim and Fallout 3. All three games had insane hype that people realised were deeply flawed games months later. However those 10 hours of magic and wonder while you slowly explore the world is the best part of bethesda games.
I know it's an Obsidian game, but I played NV for 200 hours and loved every minute of it. I hope the same goes for Fallout 4, from the looks of it, it just might.

I have to admit that I gave up on that game after 2 hours. It just wasn't for me at all.

Oh, me too. Real time with pause isn't my thing but you were asking for games that look more interesting than this so..

I'm pretty bumed out about this stuff. I LOVE fallout 1 and 2 and felt like NV was a step back in the right direction.

YEah I don't understand what the big deal is? Are we all supposed to be yes men and drool over everything developers do? Only positive thoughts allowed?
Thats the problem. Peoples thoughts are instantly thrown up onto the internet. Nobody processes anything anymore.

Just watch the giant bomb guys talking over the Bethesda conference. Negativity, snide mocking jokes, more negativity then once its over they're like.... well that was cool.

I'll be honest, and this will probably make me sound like a snob, but I can't stand anything from a top-down or isometric view. I only managed to get through an hour of Transistor for that reason.

I am sure the game will be great but im just disappointed in how "safe" it is.

I for one have never been about character creation or character interaction with the world in terms of building/planning. so for them to showcase this as a big plus in the game and then state its all optional really shows that the focus was not on the core experience. They should have showed more combat and how that has changed etc, how the weapons feel and shoot after various changes and what not. To me it seems very very fallout 3 with some perks that wont be of importance during the main play through.

To be honest, they (Oblivion, Skyrim and FO3) are kind of mediocre. And this is coming from someone who has put something like 150+ hours to the latter two and enjoyed them quite a lot.

NV is far from mediocre.

This looks like a current gen Bethesda game, I am surprised people were expecting the game to compete with W3 visually? Having said that, I think it looks excellent. A richly detailed world with cool looking locals and a good step up from Skyrim. Love the environment variety on show!

I have mixed reactions: On one hand, I cannot deny how impressive the amount of things you are able to do in this world but I feel they are making fallout like a theme park than an actual wasteland. This is so much more prevalent when it came to hoarding items which is now utilized for extra fluff (crafting). It's become more about giving the player the maximum avenues to loiter around beyond the quests. Now I'm all for extra-curricular activities but I feel this has become more of a precedent in distracting the players rather than give them a proper incentive to buy into their universe.

That's interesting. I see all of that as a positive. I feel they've given us more reason to simply exist in The Wasteland and that is a very exciting prospect for me, especially if we see a return of Hardcore Mode.

NV is amazing, hands down better than FO3, but the urgency of the main plot was difficult to break away from at times.

Seriously, barring any massive surprises in the next 24 hours, how anybody couldn't think that this is the most interesting game of this year is completely beyond me.

It looks like it will be absolutely spectacular and is among the few games that could actually justify a $60 price tag.

LOL

It's just another Bethesda game. They have done several on this genre. It's just one more. With added features, and better graphics, as new games always have over their predecessors.

I will wait until they reveal more details about whether or not you can play as an LGBT character before I get hyped. If you're forced to play as a straight character I don't think this game will be for me.

Well lucky you, your family (probably) gets obliterated in the apocalypse so you can play whichever way you want when you re-emerge to the new world.

In New Vegas there are two perks (the only thing in the game) adressing sexuality and you can pick anyone you want no matter what gender you have selected. I doubt they are removed.

My issue with the crafting system is that it encourages hoarding/scavenging absolutely everything in the game, apparently including some of the structures, which is tedious to me, but I probably can't resist due rpg OCD. A tighter system utilizing unique parts or mods instead of garbage you find everywhere would have been much preferable. I feel like this crafting system is also going to lead to less interesting itemization in terms of hand placed items. Personally I think that finding various extensively modded weapons instead of being able to essentially make them from scratch would likely feel more rewarding. I'm not sure if they clarified whether you will be able to craft everything immediately assuming you have the required components, or if you have to find crafting recipes first. Hopefully the latter.

Perhaps if you can immediately, hopefully automatically, scrap all the trash into crafting materials, some of the inventory management issues will at least be gone.

Not a fan of the dialogue system they showed. I like a lot of options in dialogue, not limited by how many face buttons the controller has, and having to have everything nested 3 branches deep.

Given Bethesda's pedigree, I'll keep my eye on this. Absolutely love the art style, the skyboxes are incredible, and I hope the weather is dynamic. Gunplay looks janky still; like there's no weight to any of the weapons. Same issue I remember from Fallout 3.

Oh come on, man.

I do agree that NV is the superior experience of the ones you listed, but they are so much alike in every aspect, especially NV and FO3 that this comes across as completely illogical to me.

Did the better story, quests and dialogue do so much for you in FNV then? It's kind of hard to believe.

Haven't played a Fallout game in depth for probably 5 years now, really looking forward to this.

I personally think it looks great - loving the quirky art-style they've gone for over hyper realism. The world seems so fucking dense with shit to look at and do!

Uh, wait. Don't you play as the child of the two parents? Or do I need to watch the trailer again?
