Fallout 4 looks very good but I'll wait on it until the Spring or Summer Steam sale.

Every Bethesda open-world game I've played has been much more enjoyable after modding. Some games require tweaks to fix annoyances (Skyrim, Fallout 3) and some, major overhauls to fix a mess (Oblivion).

Just from the videos so far (obviously) there aren't any huge tech or gameplay advances that pull me in right away. I hate to be a jaded gamer but I think the Witcher 3's storytelling and look has set some unrealistic expectations for me when it comes to future games.
 
I remember when Skyrim was announced sometime after I was playing Oblivion and hyping up for it.

Wasn't too much of a Fallout fan although I played 3 and New Vegas.

This conference showing may change that.

I didn't expect the game to cone out this fall ir this soon but now it can't come soon enough.
 
Immediate reaction is that I'm not really blown away. I like the building/crafting aspects, but the rest looked ok, I guess.

I don't know. Wish i was more impressed.
 
So far the game looks fine. Very similar to Fallout 3 and NV which is unsurprising so I doubt it'll convert those who didn't like those games. Looks like there could be a shit ton of content too. Definately looking promising,
 
I honestly can't even put into words how many different aspects I'm fucking hyped for for this game except..there go my grades this semester.
 
I'm fucking pissed. 2015? Fucking kidding me? How the fuck am I going to pick between Star Wars Battlefront, Fallout 4, and Metal Gear Solid V for GOTY?

more or less how i feel. these added features did not sound interesting in the slightest. but i still enjoy the wasteland and i need my furiosa rpg. so i'll cop this during a christmas sale.

Probably cuz it has a marketing deal with one of them thats going to be announced tomorrow. i think it's with xbox. They also mentioned xbox one before PS4 on all the other games.

Considering they're using it for every last bit of what it offers, no thank you. The visuals aren't the star here, definitely, but they're clean, and allow for the world to be as dynamic as they're selling it, down to the very last piece of junk in the corner. All of it useful.
 
Gamebryo sticking around and the dialogue options (or lack thereof) are gonna have to be balanced for weapon/town customization and all that jazz, and we'll have to see how things work out.

Will be interesting to see how this affects the larger narrative, as well.

Game did look better in motion, but it's still pretty blatantly gamebryo in a lot of places (such as the wife's face bobbing incessantly at the beginning)

Honestly this presentation sold me on the game, and I wasn't even considering buying it until now.

Graphically, I think the character models are underwhelming but the rest looks actually pretty good, especially for a game that seems to have so much going on.

The way Todd presented was very honest and well done, it just covered everything and showed a lot of interesting features.

agreed wholeheartedly, I was more than willing to give them the benefit of the doubt as I really did enjoy Fallout 3, but this just seems so devoid of what makes Fallout great and is instead insisting on introducing a ton of new mechanics that just don't fit with the world that Fallout always tried to express
 
Like I said.. The graphics/design is mediocre, animation is awkward/rough all over the place and because of this the atmosphere suffers. The only thing seems cool is crafting

Overall it's meh.
