Fallout 4 - Multiple E3 Gameplay Demos, Releasing November 10th, 2015

Very impressed with F4's showing. Spending a ton of time on it really allowed them to show what the game's about and answer a lot of questions before they're even asked. I've never been a huge Fallout fan, but I'm looking forward to this game now.

Game looks pretty good! I don't care too much about all that building stuff, but the guns look awesome. I can't wait to explore every nook of this world, just like I did in Fallout 3. Also, that replica Pip-Boy is awesome.

So much hype. I was just expecting a slightly brighter Fallout 3, but that crafting stuff looks so dope. And I love what they've shown from the environment.

And a 2015 release, oh man. Todd Howard da gawd.

Pipboy looks kinda..... cheap.
It's your usual glossy plastic toy look. Will have to weather it up when I get it. Looks pretty weak straight out of the box but it's expected being a collectors edition thing.

His ass is not flat though, thats quite the advancement for male characters in games. lol

now that I'm past the initial hype I gotta face reality. I would never use that pipboy while playing. I would only wear it for Halloween and this is past halloween so I'd have to wait a year.

And the shit that it comes with? Not necessary for me. Metal case is nice and all but it isn't necessary for me now. Plus I gotta get the guide and this is gonna be like 150+ easily

plus my house is already harry potter themed, pip-boy would clash.

I thought Todd Howard presented pretty well tonight, the guy is definitely a good salesperson. Speaking for myself, Fallout 4 was a game not really on my radar before (I never got far into Fallout 3 and lost interest in it), now this game is somewhat on my radar after the conf. Bethesda and Todd showcased what they wanted to, to the audience about FO4 fairly well.

However, I can't be the only person who got a big kick out of him and chuckled when he said "it just works" when describing hooking up a generator to a set of TVs, lights, or a gun turre. Maybe because I got a bit of a background in electrical, idk.

It was prob just something he said off the top of his head, but is 13,000 lines of dialogue a lot? I wonder if there is any #s to compare that to, like GTA V or something.

Looks better then the first trailer showed I think and I am digging the crafting system. With that said I am still expecting the game to suffer from the normal Bethesda problems, but I can live with that. The biggest disappointment to me is the new dialog system.

The graphics, dialogue, gameplay and animation all stink. These are the essential building blocks of a modern fallout game. I cant wait.

The graphics more than suffice.
The dialogue seems natural enough.
The gameplay looks solid.
The animation is significantly less jank. Even the facial animations.

I just hope to hell, that the dialogue stuff is actually good, as well as the side missions. I would hate for this game to be like Skyrim, where it's this really massive/gorgeous world. But it's kind of empty, and the side missions aren't that well written. So you are just left with a bunch of whacky/over the top mechanics (building stuff, and going crazy with weapons and traversing).

Yeah that’s what I sort of came away thinking as well. Gave Skyrim a shot but the mile wide-inch deep aspect of recent Bethesda games is just not for me.

Everything that they showed looks like they’re doubling down on that, which is great if you like that stuff (which a fucking ton of people do)

if they're really going full force with this 'just 4 dialogue options' per question system, how is that gonna work with conversation options pertaining to character stats? Like in New Vegas you could use a variety of different stat options to answer a given question so curious as to how that's now gonna work. Will it just be one stat check option per question and if you don't meet that requirement then lol fuck you?

What sort of loading are we looking at? Surely it won't be like 3/NV.

That's my biggest want. Hearing Howard talk about the amount of memory they have to work with and not breaking immersion makes me think it'll be seamless this time, but he never said so. Of course, neither host could be bothered to ask.

That pip boy looks cheap and dreadful.

I was hoping it actually had real knobs and buttons to use with your phone.

on topic its time for me to start saving for a new video card. I want to max this game out relentlessly.
