Looks more or less like I'd expect a Fallout on the new consoles to look. Not sold on the voice acted MC or the limited / simplified dialogue options. More or less a neutral reaction, happy it's coming this year though.
For you picky bastards, is there any reason Bethesda can't make the protagonist silent for the actual dialogue back-and-forths and let you select from the full subtitle if you are one of those monsters? And that just leaves him/ her voiced for cutscenes/creation?
Yeah, expected this kind of answer.
There is no white, black, asian, whatever voice. Voices are varying in region. E.g. there are various African countries with different kinds of languages requiring different "voices". You can't say there is a typical black voice there because there is such a variety of african countries which differ extremely concerning the usage of the voice.
The fewer options claim is just assuming they're going to do the Mass Effect style of dialogue. They can easily have many options by using one of the 4 buttons to scroll to more options when necessary.Even then there would be a lower amount dialogue options it looks like so even if they did do that it doesn't solve the main problem.
A voice from someone who is actually that ethnicity for each one. Otherwise you have a white dude voicing a black or asian guy. Whoever's voicing this sounds like boring mcvideogame voice
Okay. So what if the Asian guy doing the voice acting just sounds like a "white guy"? Is it still a white guy voice?A voice from someone who is actually that ethnicity for each one. Otherwise you have a white dude voicing a black or asian guy. Whoever's voicing this sounds like boring mcvideogame voice
So you cant change the voice of the character?
Female it is. My Troy Baker meter is just about full.

I hope you can mute the guy and just read dialogue in ur own voice

Stuff before the nuke looked rough or straight up bad, but after that everything was just great.
I'm more of a TES guy, but this will do for 2015 !
And TES next year ? Please ?
Maybe I'm just being cynical, but I really doubt this. The fewer options claim is just assuming they're going to do the Mass Effect style of dialogue. They can easily have many options by using one of the 4 buttons to scroll to more options when necessary.
Conversation wheel and fully voiced player character :/ Nope.
Does anyony know if there will be any skill checks in conversations at least?
How do you know there will be less options? It could easily work like W3 or Mass Effect where one question asked opens a slot for another to be asked. They could have just as many lines written for your character as before.Even then there would be a lower amount dialogue options it looks like so even if they did do that it doesn't solve the main problem.
I am incredibly impressed. The fact it's just over 5 months away makes it even better.
Also thank The Lord for player characters that don't look deformed.
really glad the settlement building thing is optional. that looked dreadful.
Is there a better animated dog in gaming? At least it puts Peter Molyneaux to shame almost as much as he does it himself.Looks ok, dog animations were really bad though eh.
looks like a fallout game.
I hope that these new features will have a reason to be there, they looks as cool as they look worthless in the game economy in my eyes.
My concern about a fallout game is more about the levelling and the combat system, that in the long run hurt my enjoyment of the previous games.
I can built the coolest weapon i can think of but if the game is unable to make its use worth what's the point?
I hope that those things are not just cool fillers in a game that to me has other problem to solve.
