Im running a solid 60fps with everything set to ultra with a i5 2500k overclocked to 4.16 and a 970. Amazing. 970 inpulse buy justified.

Caveat- at 720p on my plasma.

Crazy mouse lag, super bad stuttering inside on mostly ultra settings (GTX970) and the subtitles freeze in the very first conversation

BETHESDAAAAAA

Are there any questions as to where spoilers should be discussed? Seriously don't he that guy. There's a spoiler thread for a reason. The game hasn't been released yet. Don't be a dick.

Well I already had a bug that could only be fixed by reloading an earlier save. Still in the vault (on PC). My body froze after exiting a computer terminal and all I could do was look around. :)

Heard one of the reviewers said there was too much to do in settlements.

Love it.

Im playing since Friday and dont like the whole settlement feature at all. Ive lost my lone wanderer feeling and although it might be completely optional the game presents it to you with maybe the first sidequest you do...

Im having problems with yvprVPN

i cant connect to any of the australian iPs and if it works i still cant start fallout 4

Playing on PC with Ultra settings. Everything's run beautifully so far on my new rig. And this game looks NICE. Maybe not the most graphically impressive game around (And there's a few places where the texture pop-in is pretty bad), but it's very pleasing to look at so far. No performance hiccups as of the intro, but I'll be offering an update as to whether or not the actual Wasteland provides problems.

For some reason in the beginning character screen the male character has no voice, only the female. Later on with the vault-tec interviewer I cannot hear any voice or talking from both of them... it could be some voice files missing.

I might need to redownload :(

I had the same problem on PS4. Sometimes the sound was even delayed. After deleting the patch everything went back to normal.

any luck with the VPN's yet?

i've tired a NZ/Aus server but I still have the UK store and it's not letting me change it unless I provide an address/payment from that area.

So for anyone wondering about the book you can find to get an extra skill point in the beginning of the game.

Using it before the nuke goes off does nothing, you have to go back to your house after you get out of the vault and find it there. It will be in the same area as to where you see it before the nuke goes off. It's called You're Special.

I probably should have bought this on PC but my wife has lots of tesco points to spend so it was free on Ps4.

Since none of the VPNs listed here worked for me I decided I'd try SoftEther VPN, and turns out it had an Aus server, which after a bunch of attempts finally worked and I'm unpacking now. It's super slow but enough to get you to the unpack stage and then launch.

Those having problems with VPN and the Steam store not saying you're in Australia/New Zealand, I was able to log into my alt account on steam with no money in it, change the store to Australia, and download the rest of the game through the link to my main account through sharing. I'm unpacking it now so maybe try that?

Man, you can really make the ugliest people in the world if you want to...

Anyways, my red-haired character is ready to go!

Yeah I didn't think it mattered but nothing I do is working. Everything says VPN is fine but Steam still displays like I'm on EST in the US but AU VPN is definitely on.

Try quitting steam, open your browser and go to Google.com (should redirect to Australian Google. Next search "Fallout 4 Steam and go ton the steam page for Fallout 4, this should take you to the Australian steam store in your browser where the game is unlocked (after doing the age verification step). You don't need to sign in here. Fire steam back up and see if it unlocks.

Somehow that step worked for me here in the UK

lol. they are testing the fire alarm system for the next indeterminate number of hours at my apartment complex. I think someone on staff is getting a little too into the spirit of the launch here. raid sirens all day.

If the settlements are optional, what's the point of building them?

Sorry for the dumb question, I've been keeping myself kind of blind.

Launched the game, but can't get Steam to go into offline mode now. It does nothing, and I'm wondering whether just disconnecting the VPN in online mode will kick me from the game.

Would killing my wi-fi connection be a good solution?
