Of course not, it's just a toy marketed for little children and linked only to give you an impression of what i meant. I do not own this device. Though, i don't think connectivity and real time communication hardware is so expensive that the extra charge wouldn't make up for it, even with the case, book an poster.
They could use bluetooth for connection, works for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. I don't think you need that much processing power. Correct me if i'm wrong, but is the pip boy not only showing blank green text/graphs and a few pixelated characters with little to no heavy animation? The ingame one has also a few minigames as far as i know. Can't be so expensive, sry but seeing the blank hole where a nice little CRT display should be, is just off putting for me. On top of that, the moving parts are just cosmetic without any real use, don't like it, sry. But have fun with it

You're expecting a bit much. I can understand it not being worth it for some, but $60 isn't outrageous for what you get. Honestly I think I want that capsule case as much as the Pip-Boy.

I feel like this is wrong to do and I bet there is a lot of people that did this too. Sad part is that people will pay for it :/. I feel like retailer need to work on a set amount for these kinds of items.

Well now this is interesting. EB Games Australia had the exclusive on the pip boy edition. However Gametraders have their own exclusive edition, with a replica laser pistol! Fighting the urge to buy both...
lol no shame at all. That is a 3D printed model that is freely available online and they are using it to promote this bundle. Bethesda likely has nothing to do with this.

Just got an email from game saying they had problems their end and did not charge me £20 deposit yet they will charge me full price at launch.

Yeah. Literally says unlicensed at the bottom. I would be leery of that, either going to be above and beyond in quality or absolutely shit. Maybe they will put a video to promote
Seems like a good way to make mad extra cash by selling the basic title though. I wanna do that with games, sell them on eBay. hahahaha
Probably will sell the cancelled orders as a batch near when the game comes out so I'd look for that.

Yeah mine came on Saturday, seems we were within the first 10,000 orders.
I'm still expecting GAME to cock my order up at some point, so this was a nice reassurance that it's still on.
I was definately one of the first 10k but had to cancel and reorder just the other day as they cocked up my payment details.

Oh man, I need to find someone with a 3D printer. Actually, they have them at my son's high school, and the teacher said if we ever wanted to use one we could. I may have to bother him and see if I can print one of these.
Sounds like probably not. Pete Hines said they made a very limited run and sold out super fast, so unless they produce more after launch, I don't see it happening.

Actually I checked a few days ago and they've gone down since last I checked. At one point you could get almost 300 for a pre order. Now it seems 250 or less.
Bethesda store seems to have PS4 and Xbox versions of the Pip-Boy Edition back in stock.

No, I value it on the value it has. Collectible cards can have lot's of monetary value.
That pip-boy is worth more than any collection of cards you might own.

It's not a matter of opinion. You won't get 60 bucks off of those collectibles ever. Special Editions exploit your feelings of hype to get you pay premium for cheap crap. It's an emotional purchase not based on logic but hype.

People are paying way more than MSRP for Pip Boys before they've even shipped. I even bought two and plan to sell one. Of course they have more value than "$60 worth of plastic"
I should stop buying flowers for my wife. Bought based on feelings, just a collection of cheap plants, ZERO resale value, and are in the trash just days after buying.
I was hoping it also came with the regular case like MGSV limited edition.

I did not buy the pip boy cause I wanted to invest my money. I bought it cause I wanted it and here is the important part, listen closely: it is worth 60 bux to me to have it. So it is money well spent.
I guess you never buy cars either cause you never get your money back on those either. Oh, or toys for your kids or for yourself. I hope you don't buy any handhelds or consoles cause they lose their value too.
