PS5 sales are decent this week, but still dissapointing considering how much ground they need to make up for.

Other than that, another quiet week.

I'm just doing a sensible chuckle at the articles and forum threads last week about how much it sold.

Seems stock issues are all thats really hurting it.

every time i see these sales im reminded of how awesome fromsoft is. they couldve gone with the trend with their games but put their eggs in one basket and made demons souls. they were saved by western markets.

That & the game library, even if someone gets hold of one in japan what the fuck are they playing on it as the appearance of anything new in the charts is totally abysmal barely anything is released at all and when it does it appears for maybe a week or so then totally slides down the charts with hardly anyone buying it. With sony canning PS4 support in a few years that means they will not even have the PS4 multi releases to fall back on the game library is still the main stumbling block for me there's just not enough released for it for me to want to spend hundreds in picking one up.

I doubt PS4/ps5 releases are going to stop anytime soon. In Japan's case Sony moving to California combined with lack of stock pretty much killed PlayStation for this gen so expect most games to be on the switch.

Most games being on Switch has to do with its own success, I don't think Sony going to California has made much of an impact on that at all (though some of the changes to require devs to do things in English certainly hasn't helped).

WE actually theorized long ago that most of these console units (mostly PS5) are actually shipped to markets outside Japan and sold their (think China for example).
