I was curious to see whether or not DS2 gave PS5 a bump. I wouldn't say so but the Pro selling roughly 50% of the other models is probably a result of it.

Tamagotchi Plaza outselling Death Stranding 2 effortlessly in Japan. They really prefer gameplay over graphics for a video game.

Death Stranding 2 sales globally seem to be about half of what the original launched at, that seems to be true for Japan as well

MKW is going be another 60 million seller. Which's good as it will get a lot of extra content over the coming years.

Alot of multi millon seller games dont sell in Japan.
Japanese just prefer to game on handheld, good or average games.

Take a look at the reviews lol

Nice sales for Castlevania considering it's a fairly expensive set of a long available low price digital game.

The next Animal Crossing game is going to do really crazy numbers for Switch 2 in Japan. It's so much easier this time to predict the next top 5 best-selling games of the generation.

1. Mario Kart World - 15m
2. Animal Crossing SW2 - 14m
3. Smash SW2 - 8m
4. Splatoon 4 - 8m
5. Pokemon SW2 - 7m

tbf, alot of great games dont sell in Japan, and japanese gaming taste is rather...questionnable
This is very subjective though. I'm sure a lot of Japanese players might find your taste in games questionable.

Considering the most popular games worldwide I consider the vast majority of human taste in games to be questionable.

People buying Switch 2 and Mario Kart World are even informed that with that kind of screen the console is literally unplayable?
Posts like these make me look hope for humanity.

Yes the screen is bad, but do you really think that 1. people are even aware outside of tech circles/enthusiast forums that it's bad and 2. that they even give a shit?

With Sony porting its exclusives and becoming almost like a 3rd party, it will really widens the switch 1 and switch 2 lead around the world since Nintendo brand will be the real home of exclusives with Mario, Zelda, Donkey kong and metroid.

Mario Kart selling at that price tag is insane. Nintendo do found their gold mine.
Most of it's sales are as part of the bundle, it works out much cheaper with the bundle. In the US it is $50 with the bundle and $80 standalone, in the UK it is £34 with the bundle and £75 standalone. I assume it is a similar story in Japan.

It may be a long way off, but when Mario Kart 8 outsells World, it's going to be funny to see people's reactions. If they do a 4k update to 8, it may happen sooner than you'd expect.

Also, what the hell is this Castlevania Switch cartridge Japan can buy, and give it to me now.

Majority of people are not tech geek to give a fuck, they just want to play fun games and Nintendo delivers that.

Only in gaming forums like GAF that obsess about graphics and latest tech crap.

Hah, I'm sure they were joking... But it can be hard to actually tell around here. Either way, I Laughed On Loudly at it. (Bob's Burgers reference, to be clear)
