Looks like they are infusing a lot of Demon's Souls into this mod. Archthrones (Archstone in DS) where you can freely go to each of the 5 different worlds in any order you want. Nexus of Embers as the main hub (it's just named Nexus in DS). Even the logo is straight up ripped from Demon's Souls. Interesting concept. I'm definitely down with this, Demon's is a great game to take influence from so I'm all for this direction.

Looks amazing! Cannot effin' wait to play the full mod. Also, the idea of borrowing the hub and separate worlds from Demon's Souls is fantastic.

Looks really cool, i will try it out.

A bit offtopic.
I only played through Dark Souls 3 back then and never tried the Dlcs. I no longer have the savegame. Can I start the Dlcs without having played through Dark Souls 3?

Just watched a large chunk of gameplay. Incredible work, mechanics from other FROM games, enemy models and movesets pulled from BB, Sekiro... it's so good I'm tempted to triple dip DS3 on Steam just to play it... but it's full price now and the mod requires having all DLCs installed as well. I'm 100% in tho whenever I can get the full game cheap

You've been missing out. There are already huge amazing mods. The Convergence and Cinders are also must plays. I'll get this one as soon as the full thing is available. I watched Lobos and Oroboro play it. Looks like the best one yet with the most amount of the world changed.

I found a reasonable price for a complete edition key on PlayAsia ($34 now):

This mod replaces the base game NG?

EDIT: It does. You have to uninstall in order to play the base game again.

i never downloaded a souls mods, how these mods work ?
The particular mod seems to have an install exe file which will basically install the mod for you. It's a whooping 11GB beast. And that's just the demo! It doesn't seem to rely on DS3's Mod Engine, which is great because it doesn't work really well lately after an 2023 update.

From a quick search: "There is an NPC at the Cleansing Chapel in the Cathedral of the Deep. He'll help you reach Ashes. The Ringed City can be accessed either after clearing the final Ashes boss or at a new bonfire right before the Lord of Cinder fight."

This thing is just incredible. Started last weekend after finally buying DS3 cheap for PC. I have 20 hours on the clock and nowhere near the end and what I'm hearing it's just a small fraction of the whole planned release which could be the size of DS3 or larger. Absolute must-play for any souls fan. Just stop what you're doing and go check it out.

Where did you find it for cheap? It’s always nearly full price on steam if you miss the sales.

I recently played Convergence and it was cool but it totally tanked the performance. Could not get a stable framerate at all, no matter what settings I used. It fluctuated like crazy and was damn near unplayable. In vanilla I get 60 without breaking a sweat. I even downloaded the low performance mod but it didn't help. Couldn't cap it at 30 either. I hope this mod is considerably better optimized otherwise I'm gonna pass. Which sucks because this mod looks coolest of them all.

This looks awesome. The best Souls-like will surely come from an actual Souls total conversion mod. The combat is where everyone goes wrong and with a mod like this the combat is mostly worked out. Lords of the Fallen made me so angry. It's offensive in a lot of way really. The few bucks you save with GMG keys are not worth the agony of buying a turd like that and not being able to refund it. The first negative Steam review I've ever written. It was the only power I had. Save someone from a fate that I myself cannot be saved from.

it was on 50% discount on steam around 2 weeks ago iirc?

Worth every penny just for this project - I just beat last 3 bosses left and having checked the wiki that's all there is - areas have dead ends where they'll expand further on release. What they did is "remixed" DS, Elden Ring and Sekiro landing at some of the best boss fights in all of FROM games, I'm not kidding. The environments are amazing, sourcing maps from DS2 and 3 and adding original stuff, had my jaw on the floor couple of times and you will too especially if you know the source material inside out.

Archthrones runs without a hitch on my 8 gig joke of a GPU on "high", I don't use framerate counters but by eye it's 60+. Draw distance is like 5x longer than DS3 with crazy far away enemy spawn, further than ER open areas. There is obviously some pop in but it does look much better than DS3 on PlayStation.
