Damn it feels bad to be a Browns fan.

ESPN: Fan wants Browns pallbearers

ESPN said:
A lifelong Cleveland Browns fan has gone to his final rest, but not before making one last request from the team.

Scott E. Entsminger, 55, of Mansfield, Ohio, died on July 4. Entsminger, a Columbus native, was a musician and a Browns season-ticket holder who wrote a song for the team each year and sent it in, along with his advice on how to run the team.

According to his obituary in the Columbus Dispatch, Entsminger also "respectfully requests six Cleveland Browns pall bearers so the Browns can let him down one last time."

The family also has requested that "everyone" wear their Browns clothing to Entsminger's funeral Tuesday.

Browns public relations director Zak Gilbert told ESPN.com that as soon as the Browns learned of Entsminger's death they contacted his widow, Pat, to express their condolences.

It's a play on words! See, they'll physically let (place) him down in his final resting place just as the team has emotionally let down their fans! GENIUS I TELL YOU!

The jokes on this level can easily turn any brown upside down. They make me brown with envy.

I'm not a baseball fan... What's so funny?

Dohohohoho

That's okay, because the Browns have really never played it either.

Not true. The Browns were a dynasty in the 60s. We won Super Bowls before they were called Super Bowls.

But we've been largely godawful since, and downright horrid since the new franchise started in '99.

Doesn't matter. No Superbowl appearances means the Browns are the laughing stocks of the NFL.

They should get Earnest Byner involved so he can drop the casket right before they reach the grave site

EDIT:

Hey now... the Jets are still a bigger trainwreck!

The beauty is that even if no players show they're still letting him down.

It's pretty sad that a person can devote themselves so much to a sport they'd have their funeral attire consist of jerseys and other memorabilia for a team.

I laughed at the request though - burn from the grave.

Why is it sad? It has made a lot of people laugh and focus on other things versus just a dead guy being buried.

And although the team is so horrible, the dead guy still got enjoyment from the team and was able to make light of the situation.

Don't get why funerals have to be drab black attire affairs. Hell I want an open bar at my funeral. Make it a party.
