They can fuck off then. Nobody asked for this. Then again, while I had fun with 6, it was a far cry from what made FarCry, FarCry.

Then I will predominantly not purchase it.
That is exactly what this is. That's what Sony was chasing too this gen.i'm sure some will but it sounds like they want a COD clone to me if this is true.

No, none of the Sony games is a CoD cloneThat is exactly what this is. That's what Sony was chasing too this gen.

Coop, pvp and level editor are huge elements of Far Cry.I never played the MP mode of any Far Cry, but didn't they already have a MP? As far as I remember minimum at least some of them had coop.
Guess I'm good on FC7 then. Seriously haven't enjoyed any of them really since 4, even though 5 had an amazing setting and one of the best OSTs in the past decade.
There's still no better combat music than this to me. To be in a shootout with this blasting just sends you to another world. When that fuzzy bass kicks in towards the end, I ALWAYS get hard.
Going from the various leaks that have surfaced about it over the years, I get the feeling that Far Cry 7 might scratch an certain itch for you -- a fellow Mafia III enjoyer.
The game just needs to get this vibe right:

The goal, on Far Cry, is to more predominantly push the multiplayer aspects
Yes, I remember they had a level editor and that invested a lot on it. But like MP I never checked it. I heard about the coop, but didn't know it had PvP.Coop, pvp and level editor are huge elements of Far Cry.
Isn't this kind of a weird take on a game you haven't seen or even know what "predominately" even means in it, I just genuinely think it is weird. Then I will predominantly not purchase it.
I don't think it is weird. If a CEO states intention to push something that was not traditionally a core element of a franchise the inevitable result is driving some fans away.Isn't this kind of a weird take on a game you haven't seen or even know what "predominately" even means in it, I just genuinely think it is weird.
Course you fucking did.
Is this to make more money off mtx's because of Ubisoft not selling games, i played the first 5 Far Cry's, i didn't want to play 6 and don't want to play MP shooters, i'm sure some will but it sounds like they want a COD clone to me if this is true.
People are not necessarily obsessed just becauae you don't enjoy it . There are plenty flaws in Far Cry (see my brief comment above), but also plenty appealing stuff. Raiding bases for one, is pretty satisfying.Only the chronically obsessed with the Far Cry brand will care about this. Everyone else became beyond sick of the formula years ago as Far Cry is probably the most painfully rote shooter series on the market.
Cut the mp, spend the resources on ai and more natural respawn mechanics.

But the game sells, so making it into a different game would be stupid. I'm not so sure there are more "previous fans" of Far Cry, than franchises that have kept their formula for even longer.I dunno, it hasn't been difficult to pick up on a general consensus these days that says those base raids and liberations are exactly why many previous fans got sick of Far Cry gameplay. It's not an uncommon complaint.
