Good episode. As I expected, they slowed things down to investigate the murders as well as our characters. A few hilarious moments as well, Malvo sitting down to take a shit killed me!

Cast is so stacked, nice introductions to Platt, Howerton, and Goldberg's characters.

Preview:
Looks like Don (Howerton) is very involved in the case Malvo is looking into.

That bathroom scene was too good. Much slower this week, but I think the change of pace was good. Nice episode.

Apparently Malvo is going to take over the blackmail of this business dude, or at least that's what I'm thinking right now.

Awesome episode. BBT not giving a single fuck when grocery kings security guy showed up at the hotel had me dying lol. Didn't even say a word, just walked right past him and started to have himself a nice shit. Security guy didn't shut the door either whe he left and BBT still didn't care haha. Dude is ridiculous. I really hope Lester gets away with murdering his wife when it's all said and done lol. I like his character a lot, he's a good dude at heart, life has just taken a huge shit on him.

Oh also I think the deaf guy is the same guy who played the older deaf son in there will be blood. Didn't realize the guy was actually deaf. Surprised I recognized him since he's only in twbb for like 5 minutes.

Allison Tolman really nailed it last night. And the acting across the board has been superb. To stand out amongst this crowd is a real accomplishment.

This show may very well surpass Bad Santa for my favorite Billy Bob role.

I am fairly in awe at the absolutely perfect casting across the board so far in this show. I really think the limited series formula has a lot to do with that.

And then the LORD David Bowie saith to his Son, Jonny Depp: 'Go, and spread my image amongst the cosmos. For every living thing is in anguish and only the LIGHT shall give them reprieve.'
This, actually, would be my only complaint. He's a little too similar to the Lundegaard character IMO.
Well, Lundegaard was pretty sociopathic, or just was never shown to have any remorse for anything that happened. Nygaard shows plenty of remorse, but I have a feeling this story is so much longer that he'll possibly become more of a monster as this thing keeps going.

He's gonna Heisenberg it up, you betcha.

Slower episode for sure. Still good. Guess they never treated the buckshot wound at the hospital.

Kind of feel sorry for Nygaard because he's just a loser whose fallen down a hole, where as Lundegaard in the film had dug his own pit of despair.

Also if thats how the two Fargo hoods treat the wrong guy you have to wonder how they'd treat the right guy.

Awesome episode. Dat ending man. Loved every minute. I can't get enough of these calm dialogue scenes. That accent does it :p

"True." They really drilled a hole in the ice and dumped a guys body in there? That's crazy.

I adore the pacing of the show. It's fully content with taking its time to let scene play out: sign language, post office, fire hydrant failing to intimidate Malvo. I really, really like it.

Also seems fitting that Glenn Dennis Howerton plays someone self indulgent and not that great at scheming.

The Coen brothers played that little trick with the original movie so I sincerely doubt this is based off anything remotely based in reality.

The episode starts with something like 'Based on true stories that happened in [year]' but they end that with something like 'If it even happened' or something along those lines.

It says everything else is exactly as it happened out of respect for the dead.
