FAST Fusion - Switch 2 - Digital Foundry Analysis

Season 2 Dancing GIF by The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
we should keep in mind that in the end Carlton was the winner

This update proves that their 'abusing' of dlss was the right way to go.

no it wasn't. the way to go would have been to make sure image quality isn't completely awful instead of pushing graphics detail and effects to a point where the game looks worse than its predecessor.

I wonder what the people who were claiming it would be better without dlss are saying now.

it does look better. at least without DLSS there's no constant artifacting. image quality is awful regardless of which mode you choose.

No it's a fun game that looks nice. The game is super fast and uses motion blur which is what the image above is showing with a 400 x zoom in.

Just haters hating here again.

Game is light on content though.
This is not an issue for BMW that look horrible in movement and others games that uses FSR… but you know, is a Switch 2 game and exclusive on top.

I played them all, i don't find the previous game looking better so that's subjective

I really don't notice the artifacting while racing, what i do notice is the jaggy mess in the distance when using pure mode.

All in all it doesn't really matter because it's an extra option, i will use the dlss option with 60 frames cause that one looks better to me in motion.

Just bought this and the image quality is ugly as sin in every mode. I'll try it in handheld at some point.

Also assumed it had online multipayer, because it's 2025, but I suppose it's my fault for not looking that up before purchasing.

I don't get why they didn't use "full" DLSS and just upscale to 1080p (or a lower resolution when in portable mode). It looks decent in Cyberpunk and SF6.

Hahaha, this is just stupid assuming stuff.
At least you understand that was your own fault.

In their defence, upscalers not work particularly well with very fast game. There was a video time ago about DLSS4 and the worst scenario possibile by DF and artifacts were far more visibile with fast motion if I'm not wrong.

Right, but they are doing upscaling anyway. Just with a worse DLSS model, so they can hit 4K.
