I voted barbacoa, carne asada and carnitas. Ive had beef tounge before its good but not my favorite.

Grilled chicken when done right is just perfection though.

You need a fucking ouija board to understand these cryptic choices. I have no idea what any of them mean. Al pastor? what a fuck is al pastor and why the hell is it in a taco?

Carne Asada, I'd like to try Al Pastor but nowhere around here has it. I'll be looking for it the next time we're in Mexico.

Are all those options different kinds of meat? Sorry I've literally never heard of them. Also, are we talkin hard or soft shell here? I was thinking like a soft shell food truck style taco

Different kinds, different cuts, and different preparation methods. One is brain.

Uhh… beef or pulled pork usually.

Spaghetti can be awesome too.

I wonder if you could bake or deep fry a hard taco with spaghetti and meatballs in it and cheese on top but still keep the crunch…. Deep thoughts

Yes those are traditional Mexican fillings (carne asada is steak) eaten on soft corn tortilla, flour tortillas aren't real popular in Mexico except for the northern part.

The pastor one is filled with only ground beef from cows not older than 10 years of age.

They were by no means my favorite, but when I was in Mexico I was served carne de perro (dog meat) and carne de caballo (horse meat) without being told what they were.

I changed my mind, I'm going with pescado, because who doesn't like a nice, pungent fish taco?

Al Pastor (shepherd style) is marinated pork roasted on a slowly-turning vertical rotisserie or spit (trompo), it was brought to Mexico by Christian Lebanese immigrants in the late 19th early 20th century, they traded the lamb for pork.

Shrimp tacos are also magnificent in their own right. I californify that shit with shredded cabbage, some lime, cilantro and a piece of avocado.
The flavors, when they smash around within your oral food processor all meld quite perfectly. A symphony of flavor, yet with only a few ingredients.
There is a beauty in simplicity, and that is what Tacos are all about.

Red cabbage I hope?

Taco night in our house consists of the old el paso hard shells, mince with seasoning, lettuce, red onion and mixed peppers, cheese & salsa.. I recognised none of those things, I'd love a proper taco tbf but we keep it easy and recognisable for the kids

I like the one where you cook hamburger in a pan and then open that little pre-packaged thing of spices that all smell the same no matter what brand they are and you stir that in.
