Not enough.

Serious question. How many cops are shot dead each year vs controversial shootings like this?

It's certainly lopsided toward more civilians being shot than police. But you can't just assume that all the people that have been shot were innocent and there's really no way to parse the innocent shooting victims vs. violent criminals unless you only count shootings vs. armed individuals.

I appologize. I'm not really talking about this topic as much as I'm talking about the mainstream media that is so focused on the riot part and not even talking about the systemic problems at work here. I think people here mostly get that and there's nothing more to discuss on that front, but in the general mainstream it certainly does deserve much more attention.

it's no problem at all man. There are obvious and understandable passions going on here, because of just how profoundly fucked up this injustice is. It's enough to make anyone angry, want to cast blame, to point fingers. It really can turn even those who agree with each other in most ways against one another.

We should stay strong in solidarity against this injustice. :(

Isn't just one enough? What's the breaking point for you?

I'll wait and see what evidence is fully released if it is. Not normal for the evidence to be released in this case but they said it might.

And those people are prosecuted and put in jail.

What kind of question is this? Do you understand what is going on?

I'd assume they were shot dead more often then taken to jail. Dunno.

It was a legit question but if you don't want to answer it that's fine.

Cops put their life on the line everyday. Do they make life altering mistakes...of course. I'm just not in a position to judge if he felt his life was in danger or not. I don't think anyone is that hasn't been presented all
the evidence.

Yeah I agree.

It is the worst in the developed world, I have no doubt about it and I don't know how one can even argue at this point. The institutional biases are extreme.

Not only that but solitary confinement exists and then you have the insane incarceration rates and lack of transparency. AND the death penalty.
You forgot privatization of the prison system and militarization of police forces.

Grand Jury, 9 whites, 3 Blacks for a predominantly black city.

How does that happen? I'm honestly asking. I'm not familiar with how grand juries are chosen.

MSNBC feed died on me and now I have to watch Fox....

Believe it was heard in county court, so it would include a larger area than just Ferguson.

Are we comparing numbers now on officers killed in the line of duty and civilians killed in the line of walking down the wrong fucking road when the wrong fucking cop happens to see them?

Remember, police killing people isn't why you don't trust us, it is because of media and this very community who don't know shit!

What a fucking asshole.

why is the dude in the live stream wearing a gas mask? seems like they're getting ready to do something?

Probably to defend themselves from pepper spray. This speech has been nothing but an attempt to incite a riot so they can point to the community and say 'see, I told you they were all thugs.'
