That money segment was on Ultrachen was interesting. I wonder... who here in FGHQ would y'all pay to coach you to get better for one hour? Who would be the best coach here?

VoHiYo

Osu 16 Bit, Oneida, and Anne for their respective games I guess. I don't know how well the former two would be good as teachers, but they do well and love their games. Anne has already taught me a lot and is pretty good at laying out missing components that can help add to someone's game.

Although I don't think I'd ever pay for lessons tbh.

Edit: Q wouldn't be too bad of a choice either.

I don't really know the FGHQ community enough to say, but damn I could use a SFV tutor. I feel lost every time I play this game.

James mentions KVO for upcoming events in April but forgets to mention NWM which is on the same weekend. How does that work? lol

Shoutouts to sf2fanatic for giving me this idea.

BTw be careful about getting advice from good players in general. Good players are sometimes the worst to ask cause perspective.

Do I really need to say anything? It was pretty booty. Marvel completely outshined SFV in it's debue at a major. The only thing that kept it interesting was the East Coast Vs. West Coast angle and that has nothing to do with the game. Character variety was meh 3 Kens, 2 Sims, 2 Nash, & Bison. Canne's was just full of blow ups, nothing really hype there.

The game is still fresh but it already doesn't keep hold my interest as a spectator. Even at our own locals I was watching Wizard World Tekken 7 instead of Top 8.

I should add I never really thought SF4 was that hype after Vanilla either. It was more hype than SF5 but the matches were only really interesting when internationals were involved.

Marvel was boring at WBX. Only thing interesting was the KBR/Champ thing in a weird dumb way. And it didn't really have anything to do with the game really.

His perspective of Guilty Gear is very black and white compared to other players like kazunoko or eita or fab or tsujikawa.

It's either you are competitive and are top or good or you are a complete trash unusable character. His perspective of matchup is pretty similar too.

You can watch and admire how he plays but when it comes to actual discussion and sharing matchups and opinions he can come off as either joking or very direct if that is right way of saying.

A lot of his good Guilty Gear advice is rare and he mostly just share that he is playing at the moment like if there is tournament or a video once in a while. He mostly just likes joking and posting porn or models or talking about his favorite other female character in the mobage he plays at the moment.

His most recent helpful comment was impressions on Raven, where he thinks the character has nice movement and good reach and he wishes he has more time with him.

If you want something helpful you would follow other players and ask them rather than ogawa.

Korean tournament this weekend. Confirmed players are Poongko, Saulabis, Bigdanmul, Mad KOF, Infiltration, Lim83man, and Neo (sf4 juri player). Hopefully Hydebuffy and Laugh make it out. I would like to see the Korean scene grow.

So after our first big SFV weekend, what you guys think of the game as a spectator? I'm loving it so far

Watching it is fine for now (I'll give it a year before the staleness sets in). I don't like playing it though. So many things I dislike.

So if I come to you now will you teach me for free?

Drop in my stream or ask a question to get some general advice, sure.

The idea for paid lessons is about personalized attention, I play you, tell you your weaknesses, show you things you need to practice, etc.
