This is Ms. Marvel, now (Kamala Khan).

And unlike Kid Nova, Kamala is actually popular.[/QUOTE]

Is this official artwork? I have read the first 10 chapters of Ms. Marvel and I loved the lack of over- sexualization of Kamala. This artwork with a Cammy-skintight torso + breast enlargement is really odd to see.

It's no surprise some in the KI community spread conspiracy theories or complain more than usual considering how public Keits is. You have the combat designer engaging those guys all the time. I'm not saying that's a bad thing but it is what it is.

I think so, yeah. It's high-quality work, though. But if you want something more true to her character...

This is also official art.

I lived in Orlando and went to CEO for 3 years straight. Played in casuals for Arcana Heart, Skullgirls, MVC, and a few others.

I moved to Chicago a year ago and damn I miss it. Bums me out to watch CEO via stream rather than being there in person.

I also haven't stumbled upon a similar FGC here in Chicago yet :/

You didn't go to Combo Breaker?

IDK about those games but there's a Chicago scene for SFV, Smash and NRS games.

That depends on the artist. Some can't help themselves when drawing female characters, it's really not that uncommon.

I didn't know about CB until after it had already happened. Plus it's a bit of a ways outside the city considering I don't own a car and travel via CTA. I'd like to try to go next year tho considering it looked pretty awesome.

Any ideas where to get in on the FGC here aside from CB? Local spots for gaming are slim pickings here, at least around where I live.

Ignite Gaming Lounge is home to SFV and other games. It's by Wrigley. Galloping Ghost Arcade for Smash and NRS games. It's in Brookfield.

You should go to GGA period though, it's an amazing arcade.

Ignite Gaming Lounge (on Elston near the Belmont Blue Line stop) hosts casuals on Mondays, mostly for SFV and some Guilty Gear. They also host the occasional monthly and are part of the Red Bull Proving Grounds qualifiers.

Galloping Ghost Arcade (in Brookfield) hosts MKX weeklies and the occasional Anime monthly on Fridays. Osu16bit can talk about the MKX scene. I would suggest hitting up Crimefighter on Twitter (https://twitter.com/a_crimefighter). I think he's running the GGA anime monthlies now, and he'll definitely be able to tell you about the local scene.

There's also the Chicago FGC facebook group, where events are posted about: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ChicagoFightingGameCommunity/

Oh, also there's Frosty Faustings, which is Chicago's 2nd-biggest tournament. Next one is January 27-28, 2017 in Elmhurst. Facebook page is here: https://www.facebook.com/frostyfaustings/

Also for Skullgirls, try hitting up Kai (voice of Beowulf) on Twitter: https://twitter.com/KillAllInstinct

Try checking Facebook. For a lot of areas, people will have a FGC group made for that specific area.

EDIT: Curly's got it

Damn dude...I don't know where you'll find Arcana Heart players. Thats the nice thing about Florida from all the accounts I've heard. If you play a game it has a scene. They even ran Chaos Breaker and it had local only gameplay with no online options. Congrats to having the honor of being beaten by ...hmmm....likely Greats at CEO. Dude fuckin slays everything at CEOtaku lol. Love his Dorothy play. Its what made me pick up that game.

Makes me wish I lived in Florida honestly. I try to experience all the games that come out and study them. It'd be great to go someplace likely to have Nitroplus, Arcana, or Dengeki Ignition players. Those games are pretty slick.

Don't think there's many SF fans left in rkappa, last time I was there, they had more porn threads than none negative SF related ones.
Its just the 09ers trying to reclaim the board. Notice that they dont talk about how good SFIV was or trying to reorganize that scene to make a comeback, just how bad SFV is.

why are they keeping the date a surprise?

option select?

Probably to not piss people off if its even a day later from the posted release date. And people will get pissed. It might better for them to hold off on the date until they're 100% sure they can get it out on that day.
