Is it confirmed what is going to be on ESPN2? The same exact thing that is going to be on the twitch stream? Will everybody get higher quality cameras?

I have no idea, I just kind of assumed we would be seeing the same thing. But since this is also suppose to be on TV I guess it wouldn't be a good idea to have it tied to the internet. I wouldn't mind having two different broadcast for the event. And it'd be nice to have ESPN as a back up in case the stream goes down or gets laggy(assuming the TV broadcast also isn't at the mercy of the internet).

One more question what are the best/cheapest food options in Vegas?

Why!!!!!

There's food court all over the place at the non extravagant casinos that have shit like Subway and MacDonalds. Shit like Monte Carlo etc... There's also the LINQ area that's been redone and you can get a sit down resturant without costing you an arm and a leg.

But fuck that shit! GO BIG!

For those who want to watch SFV top 8 and have Cable, will you be watching the stream and have your TV on ESPN2? Just wondering because that's what I'm doing and I hope everybody else does it as well. I just want this to be as big of a success as possible. As for which I'd actually be paying attention to. I'd prefer to watch on my TV but it will just depend which one is further ahead.

I'll have both the TV and stream going for sure. That's a good point about one maybe being ahead of the other. Assuming that's not an issue, I gotta mainly watch on the tee-vee. It's just so surreal it's going to be on ESPN2. I gotta experience it.

Wizard said that ESPN will be using EVO production and stream.

This feels like it could be a recipe for disaster if the stream goes down or gets very laggy. That would look very strange on live TV to see constant slowdown. I hope everything goes smoothly though.

Last year I watched EVO together with a friend who use to live nearby but recently moved to Minnesota. At some point I noticed he was maybe 2-3 seconds a head of me. He was constantly reacting to stuff that I hadn't seen yet. I honestly got kind of annoyed because sometimes he would ruin the ending of a round for me lol.

But like you, I also just want to watch it on TV because damn it, we're finally on TV. And it's live, and it's on a channel that actually matters unlike the last time.

I just thought of a potential fighting game that Marvel players would probaby thirst for more than a Marvel 4: a Dragon Ball fighter that plays like Marvel.

Shame that cool upcoming mugen game can't be played in official capacity at a public gathering.

Depending on if Lost Soul is going or not, he should probably be there too.

And it still makes no sense to anyone who never played SF III. Bummer.

Did they ever finalize if they're going to allow betting on Evo at the sports-books? Part of me wants to throw $2 down on a person in each game just to have a horse in the race.

Someone asked Wiz that question sometime last week. He answered with an emphatic no (I believe he used the words "Never").

EVO had eight streams last year, five this year. EVO expanded in a lot of ways this year but not in that department.

It's really disappointing how coverage for quarterfinals at EVO is never prioritized. The top 16 at EVO will be... roughly similar in caliber to some other premiere events. Not many, but a few tournaments could probably come close in terms of the top 32. But no other tournament comes remotely close to EVO's top 128, and, too bad, most of it will not be streamed. Less coverage than pools. That is backwards.

G2 eSports picks up Westballz, a Smash Melee player. He was with Tempo Storm before.

Tempo Storm is in a weird place, they sold off their LOL team, accused another rival orgaization of some shit, has a FGC manager (RIP), but no FGC players since Chris G left, just hired a Smash manager (Raging Cherry) but now only have one Smash player (Axe) after Westballz left.
