He has some pretty simple stuff for getting a level of hype pretty quickly. LP chair throw, cr.MP > cr.HP (Grendel Flex), pick em up off the ground with cr.MK, headbutt or knee once, forward+K (Wulfdog) onto chair.

I've won once or twice whenever we play. It's just hard as hell because he plays like oldschool VSav players. Most of them know only how to move in one direction and they know just the buttons to press. Fighting one of (if not the) best Valentines is more or less like trying to take a combine harvester head on depending on the character. Parasoul's tall self gets shredded to pieces without a proper DP assist. He makes near perfect use of her limbs too. It feels like she has twice the reach of a normal Val player.

It doesn't help that I haven't played seriously in months. I was just waiting for Beowulf.

Sandstorm tourney was pretty good with the upsets. But with the remaining players, it got a little less exciting ironically.

When I get knocked down in mkx, I know for a fact I'm getting up, blocking low and still getting hit. I'll be on the ground, they'll do their combo shit, I won't get hit but the minute I get up and block low I'll get hit. Da fuq am I doing wrong. I wasn't getting hit with an overhead before u say it's that.

Also, why tf do all characters have super armor?

How tf do I stop someone from waking up with some random shit? Like how do I out beat their wake up?

I personally love the art and am always baffled when someone says they don't like it. Though I do think they should have cut down on the cheese, it was a bit too much.

I know the feeling. Imagine your friends calling your shoddy Verizon connection-ridden house in the middle of a Halo 2 killstreak to knock you out of the match. Kids complaining about netflix throttling don't even know.

Fists would fly over that shit in a tournament lol.

Don't care too much about the cheese. The aesthetic they've gone for doesn't appeal to me at all. /shrug

Wish I could get into it since the game seems pretty fun, but there's enough out there to play that I don't feel like I need to force myself to play something I don't enjoy looking at.

I don't blame you, honestly. I really like the artstyle (after I initially shit on it--on GAF, I'm pretty sure), the animation is excellent, and the artists are all hella talented, but some of em seem to be into some questionable shit lmao

cpe technically has 3 new coming from cp. The nu/lambda split changes them a lot

No, it's a balance update. some side story stuff added but it's not a story sequel

are the current story arcs

This is like the last one, it has new story added and all previous DLC. They also changed Nu completely and added Lamba back.

I'm most likely going to wait for Blazblue Xrd: Continuutasmalamity. It seems that I only play fighting games for a few months each year so it should work out well.

From what I can see, Skullgirls has 2 pretty glaring problems. The first one is what everyone complains about (the artwork, I don't mind it that much) and the second is that the character roster isn't big enough to support a team game. They started with 8 and now they have 14 characters? It wouldn't be this big of a problem if the game was 1v1 only, is all I'm saying.
