This feels like reading fighting game forums in 2004: bad trolls, threats of physical violence, and high school level philosophy

Anyways, I get the point of consolidating streams because chances are if you're interested in one game you're likely to be interested in other games, regardless of stream monster complaints. Finding out about random streamers with under 500 viewers doing a game that you might be interested in (but don't know about) is pretty unlikely unless you're constantly tuned into social media and whatnot. I'm just curious about there maybe being a better way to promote streamers.

Not true, depression is a mental illness, & suicide is a personal choice. Niether are the result of insults, that's just typical strawman. And do I need to list the tbousands of things that happen as a result of physical trama? This is a silly argument, the answer is obvious. Even the mental damage from physical trama is more.

You don't know what you're talking about. I'd highly recommend you refrain commenting on this stuff until you've had a chance to do some actual research.

yeah, excuse my bluntness. i tend to treat those who are nice very well while i treat those who are not nice extremely poorly. tough to find a middle ground both online and irl.

im not exactly sure if im reading your question properly. "I'm just curious about there maybe being a better way to promote streamers"

as far as streamers go, right now its basically our stream and level up's stream. we have a twitter account that i run and also a facebook page that mando uses. aside from these two outlets not sure where else to go to promote streams. if you have any suggestions go for it. im all ears.

I'm the same way as Watson really. Treat people as you want to be treated. In certain places you just can't let people walk all over you despite circumstances.

Would say, people who help run your streams be able to promote their streams after an event is over?
I think the issue is that while a consolidated super arcade stream would absolutely get more viewers for events and probably bring more exposure to the communities involved, it's in the interests of up and coming streamers to have those views on their own channels with regards to getting sponsors/twitch partnerships.

Yeah I don't really know what else can be done, though I'm not too familiar with how effective the different sorts of promotion and social media are. For me personally when I open twitch I just look at my following tab to see what's on, and I'm not very likely to find out about the more obscure events because they're usually only promoted amongst people within that community, and don't show up on the top of the streams list. Stuff might get retweeted by people I follow but I have no way of knowing if it's going to be something I'm interested in and I don't really pay attention.

I think issue that most folks have been trying to get at is that while streaming everything under a single channel is great for the community, it's a bit of a mixed bag for streamers in the larger picture. The individual community streamers are the ones that help to continue the effort outside of specific or big events (or sometimes at them). I mean, Super Arcade is responsible for streaming their own events but not when it leaves its doors, no? That's what an individual streamer brings. They can do an event and then bring further out from there.

My suggestion would be to help promote the individual community streamers through use the of the twitter account and maybe even mirror/host their streams when SA isn't being used for an event. So when Jyosua or Mando are streaming from home or at events, the twitter can help promote them and the others where SA is taking over their duties. Grow SA and LU as a single brand then use to help the surrounding streamers to grow.

This is the same person who threatened account suicide in response to some of the more callous responses to the Robin Williams tragedy.

US = No region lock, it's confirmed.

We still don't know about the japanese release tho', but the US version comes 1 month later :)

I did not know they decided to region lock again, really unfortunate. That plus the SMT IV debacle makes the company look pretty bad. Having said that, I hope the release of Ultimax doesn't have a big effect on Under Night. That game has been a real treat to watch and I want to play if the community isn't dead by the time it releases in the US in March.

This is like one of those retro RAWs, except this is retro agsf2.

Don't think it will- UNIEL is more hardcore anime community (and is probably going to kill Love Max), Persona is a more general community.

That's a pretty neat idea.

I know I'll be playing UNiEL and P4U2 at the same time. I kind of dropped SF4 hard body and have more time for other stuff.

BB still has no character I can get down with and enjoy. I was going to play Bullet, but Bullet's character design translated to actual sprites kind of makes me mad that her back's hunched over as if her tits is where most of her weight is at.

I will get good with Taokaka and call it a day.

Yeah the release date for UNIEL is unfortunate. I really don't want to import it because I want to support the US release and honestly I don't see myself buying the game twice.

I'm excited to tryout DFC also. I plan on trying out Miyuki with Tatsuya assist and Kuroyukihime with Haruyuki assist.

This might not be a false statement

I don't understand how she can fight like that. She's gonna get back problems after a year

I wonder where in that post i'm threatening to hurt people

im not defending watts but man it seems like you only show up in this thread to comment on drama. every post i've read of yours has nothing to do with fighting games themselves but rather the people that play them and thats not the kinda thread i personally want this to be. why do that shit here? r/kappa is devoted to that.

to those with genuine questions, i will try my best to answer them here. we will be running WNF and TRB on level up stream. we will also be running SSS melee on level up. any other tourney will be run on our new twitch channel superdojo for now until we resolve an issue with someone camping the superarcade account. that is almost resolved though so it shouldnt be long. and for the others asking, we will have multiple streams for certain events to get as much exposure as we can for other games that dont hit the main stream.
Thanks for the clarification. Will update for next week.

What hell happened? First insults to suicide and depression now something about reddit? Where has the weekend gone to?

lol Anime California initially banned chris g, floe and jwong from entering the fg tournaments.

Then they changed that where they can only win 3rd place prize LOL.

From the stream it looked like none of the LoL players knew how to block a cross up and just mash assist.
