Resets and Knockdowns are not the same thing. Most vortex characters thrive on hard knockdowns. Resets tend to give the person who gets reset a higher chance to retaliate.

Price definitely means a lot but if Kinect isn't mandatory, that's the biggie here, and could make a difference if people can bring their X1s to locals before TOs can afford a bunch of next gen consoles.

Which is why I don't believe that stuff unless MS is getting that desperate and repealing their entire "premium" approach to marketing the X1. I don't know wtf is going on at MS right now at all though, they're incredibly hard to read ATM.

It would be a start. However, I think MS might have lost any goodwill it had among gamers with its always online requirement, even though they rescinded it later on. MS is going to be fighting an uphill battle during the upcoming console generation.

Personally, I think I am going PS4 for next gen, I am tired of MS and their stupidity.

SA beech should've been #1. My younger self lost my shit when I saw Sonic in 3D getting chased by that Killer Whale.

Decent list though. I would've added The Silent Cartographer, but that's also because I'm a Halo nerd and because of Warthog Jump. THE ENTIRE ISLAND IS A BEECH.

I think Microsoft has a few issues with the FGC:

• Microsoft's controller policies (although this will matter less if none of the current Madcatz sticks don't work on PS4 unmodded). A lot of events went with PS3s early on because a number of players were using PS2 sticks and you could get those to work on a PS3 with converters (and they'll probably work on a PS4 even)
• Price -- if we're following the stereotype of FG players being broke, anyway. It won't matter early on (since the only game announced is KI), but as more games come out it'll matter (unless MS does something to counter the issue, like the Kinect-less box).
• PR issues. People booed the crap out of the KI demo... but it wasn't even for the game; it was mainly for whenever Microsoft and the Xbox One came up specifically.

I don't really see that changing unless Microsoft gets more aggressive sponsoring FG events (it's possible, they already sponsor a couple like CEO), the games are worse on the PS4 (unlikely this time around, due to how similar the hardware specs are -- that and the PS4 is a touch more powerful), or Microsoft secures something major like SF5 as an exclusive (ahahahaah nope).

If Killer Instinct turns out to be as hype as it sounds then hell yes. If Sony donates PS4s like they did with PS3s then hell no other than for KI/exclusives.

I love how it plays. Annoy, annoy, annoy, gain a meter and THC when your opponent calls assist and your safe even if they avoid it. Potentially dead assist. XF for mixup if you want.

What does cross-game have to do with F2P? They're entirely different things. F2P doesn't work because you won't get enough return on your investment.
