K' is more of a technical character in the sense that you need to be good with his anywhere juggle moves to use him to his full potential. He is one of the most versatile characters when it comes to HD because he can start a combo almost off of anything. He can do an HD combo off of a sweep or even after his EX super, if your execution can keep up. He has two anywhere juggle moves, his air kick special and his ex super.

I want to clarify what I mentioned about K' earlier, and to add something onto what BadWolf mentioned.

The reason I said that K' doesn't have good oki is that while his normals have long reach, they're not entirely safe, so using them to stuff wakeup attacks or to pressure often leads to trades. Most of his special moves knock the opponent away and cause soft knockdown (which can be rolled out of), so they're not that great for oki either.

However, the length of his normals allow him to hit links that lead into those HD combos that BadWolf alluded to, and he has a lot of situational hit confirms and combo starters that give him consistent damage throughout the round, so long as he has the super meter or Drive meter to do so. So while K' has a limited oki game, he's still a good anchor because he makes excellent use of meter and he can open someone up with one or two good reads.

Not distinguishing between links and cancels probably also confuses a ton of people. Isn't jab,jab,jab,sweep one of the earliest Ryu trials?

Yep you only really need to do the first half or so. Also if you are having trouble with what should be simple trials you are probably doing the motions too fast. You need to "link" attacks which means specific (often slower) timing.
