It's one of those things that is not even all that rational when you get down to it. I just never really liked Wolf's design, but whenever my friends played him way back in the day, I always ate those high damage grapples. And that howl that just mocks you after a loss... man that guy.

Well, those first couple online matches went as well as I expected. I need to check my internet settings again to make sure I am getting a wired connection.
I'm on the west coast. My internet is fairly decent, though it was fucking up a ton back there for whatever reason. Usually not that spotty.

Well, I redid the connection test on PS3 just to make sure things were fine over here.
Even with all that lag, I still felt kinda happy that I got to play two matches of this game with another person. Not to mention trying out a third character with Sarah.

Wasn't posting this as a negative at all- this really gets me hype for the character. I'm liking the approach they're taking with some of the new characters as far as taking influence from other genres and such.
What wrecked her so badly?
Hit-able swords and j.P nerf. Before she threw out swords, then would use j.P and stuff to punish you trying to move out the way of them, which was stupid. The solution was to make j.P ass and make it so most characters could ignore swords or even gain advantage off hitting them.
nerfed her sword placement, so when she sets them in neutral you can hit them before they go into their active frames and they deactivate. Not only do they deactivate, Ram loses access to the sword for a bit too. Pretty much makes her neutral pretty bad
I'd argue she still has some effective neutral normals, and does well to win air-to-air battles when opponents are intent on clearing her swords. The problem is that her P's and K's don't build meter, so she'll lose the battle of attrition if the opponent isn't blocking her sword normals and summons.

I guess I chose a bad time to learn Ramlethal.
I can't do any of the full screen carry combos and my mixup/pressure amounts to flailing.
But I think I'm that way with Ky as well. Sometimes that random flailing happens to line up perfectly resulting in a dizzy then IK on the first round.
If only I could do that consistently.

Just curious but how does fight gaf feel about "as 80's as possible" as a theme for a character/characters, music, or stages in a fighting game?
Been on an 80's kick lately, excited for Power Drive 2000 getting its game and I'm sketching this weekend. Be fun to doodle some Neon City stuff while listening to stuff like Starcadian dance or die
It ought to at least make a good stage design.
