Fighting Games Weekly | March 11-17 | $1100 per room? I could build a house for $500

We need to get a fund together to pay for Lando to get the open spot at FGTV. It will be a million times more entertaining than any random or pseudo top player that might end up with the spot.

A big off topic, but for those that also loves this game...

Classic Fighters in 1080p: Soul Calibur 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poAVr0GrS5g

This is running off Dolphin emulation with a GTX670, i5-3570 3.4ghz processor with 16 gigs DDR3 ram.

Game looks disturbingly stunning for being 10+ years old and runs solid 60 fps. Youtube doesn't do the actual footage justice, but I tried the best I could to make it look as good. Still the best game in the series from my perspective.

You've probably gotten a million comments like this from last week, but that filter you're using is godlike.
Even on Youtube, SCII looks phenomenal with Dolphin.

The reason it's amazing is because it emulates 60fps REALLY DAMN WELL in the 30 fps Youtube environment. I love it, haha.

I would totally buy an updated version of soul calibur 2 with online multiplayer.

I always feel so out of place when this thread gets off topic. I grew up watching Dragonball and never got in to DBZ. I don't know anything about current wrestling either. Mix in not being crazy about Marvel and man this thread ends up feeling cold to a Street Fighter loving dude.

I feel the same, but even more so. I didn't watch this stuff really. Just transformers, GI Joe, he-man and a little Voltron growing up.

I don't watch wrestling really either.

Its all good though.

Especially the Gamecube version. Namco/Nintendo is sitting on a goldmine if they brought a 1080p version to the WiiU. Hell, I'd go nuts playing as Spawn again from the Xbox version. However, I'd imagine it's licensing hell nowadays.

Some of the best music was actually just the filler in between scenes. I'm mad this one theme from the Cell arc didn't get an official release except for a little clip they used with 16 and some squirrels.
Yeah this is so true. I'm mad that the theme when Goku was getting ready to instant transmission with fat Cell never got an offical release either(I've never found one at least.)

Thats some Showdown in Little Tokyo shit.

Fallen Angel is the one track I never knew the name of growing up, so good. Stuff that I'd definitely pick. Some stuff I want to plug in.

Omoi - ~Odorenai WARATSU~
Departure
Warriors Blue

And my Taku Iwasaki tribute

Sound of Snow Falling

That music goes so well in the best Vegeta scene ever.

NOW IF YOU REALLY WANT TO TEST YOUR STRENGTH, STAY RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE!
So good, goosebumps all over. Another good theme was when Tien went nuts Tribeaming Cell after he absorbed 17.

Max! Dr. Doom video where his ego explodes from being the #1 best character in the game! Writes itself! Please make it happen! :)

Wow, that was a full page of nothing but Anime discussion.

Fuck Raphael and every incarnation of him.

*goes back to readings*

I did it GAF. I did it for you.

Here's my IGN review:

Shrimp - 6.5/10
It was alright. Not bad. Not the best fried shrimp I ever had.

Chicken - 9/10
The chicken was great. Delicious and tender. Not like that oily, rubbery tasteless shit served by the KFC outlets in Dubai. Can't say if its better than KFC before I try American KFC

Fries - 8/10
This would be 9/10 if some of the fries weren't hard and overcooked. The rest of them were S tier.

Biscuit - 8/10
The biscuit's a new thing for me. I've no ideal what the idea biscuit's supposed to be like. But this was crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Very good.

Value - 8.5/10
$5. Can't complain.

Re-eat-abiliy - 9/10
Would eat again. Though I'll most likely skip on the shrimp next time.

Verdict - 9/10
Popeye's is the reason I eat fried chicken. From the smile plastered on my face while opening the box to the disbelief that swept over me as the biscuit began to melt in my mouth to the middle of the night text message I shot a friend about the price, I couldn't stop loving this delicious and satisfying meal. From the moment the smell hits your senses to the moment you finish the last fry, Popeye's is a masterpiece.

I have Popeyes nuggets 3-4 times every week. Can't figure out how to get out of delta sauce unblockable. I think I should try something else they have for once. Tenders are good, one of their sandwiches are good but I forget which I had. Only thing I haven't liked is their chicken bowl thing, which to be fair is ass at KFC too.

Started from the KFC now we here

Fixed.

He was derp as fuck in 2 :lol His moves had so much tracking.

That's what he needed considering how linear he played. But honestly, SC2 Raph was the only iteration that felt like he was actually kind of fencing with all the back/forth and lunging. SC5 has the better system on the whole but SC2 is still a better game when it comes to characters and their movesets, IMO.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atKsHQbGDdk If this looks too hard to play then don't go for it. But honestly any BB character takes time to learn their ins and outs.

It doesn't look hard, I'm just more concerned in controlling the pet. That's why SLAB was easy for me to pick up because controlling the pet was easy. I messed around with carl, and I couldn't figure out how to even control the damn thing. Man this game needs to come out.

Wow, watching DiosX play is painful. I think he's actually gotten worse at the game. Either that or he's really out of practice. He's doing so much dumb stuff he's never done before.

EDIT: Please tell me someone just saw that match. Drama vs. Capcom3.

These poor children will grow up deprived of good shounen. Goddamn Bleach got TERRIBLE after the first sixty episodes. Gintama would save the day, but it's probably a little too intense/crazy for widespread acclaim and audience penetration like DBZ.

Yeah, Yu Hu Hakusho is excellent Shounen.

This is sort of anime themed. I'd play the shit out of a LZG developed Last Blade with a soundtrack composed by Taro Iwashiro, Noriyuki Asakura and Taku Iwasaki.

Twist of time
Oniwanbanshu - Kyoto Investigation Team
Heart of the Sunrise

This puts hair on ya chest, bro.

Oh, and all the DBZ movies after Dead Zone, The World's strongest and The tree of might are turrible. Except maybe the first Cooler movie which made for the best abridged episode EVER. Abriged Goku is the best and his reaction to Gohan being in danger is fucking hilarious.

I'm still mad they never released an instrumental of this

Some bullshit

SC3AE using SC5 netcode would be best SC ever. It's not like there have been any good new additions roster-wise since that game anyways.

SC5 is the most underacheiving game this gen to me- it killed the soul of Soul Calibur.
