New fighting game showcased (Girl Fight or some shit), looks like garbage so people shit on it.

Some troll post about the FGC not supporting American FG developers or some shit.

I remember that day. I spent all morning or afternoon downloading AH3 (it was like 5-6hr download) and that evening PSN goes down.

This already looks better than Girl Fight.

Looks like a Tekken/VF style engine. Animations are a bit wonky but to be expected in an open engine.

SaltyBets about to get a revival when this game comes out.

I always hoped for a Mugen-type fighter for consoles. Take movesets from different characters, change frame-data, make a broken or balanced fighter. Bascially a God's Beard/Dahbomb theory fighting game creator.

Did not know Canada Cup was this early. The hype obviously isn't there as many people didn't know either. It should still be a good tourney because Lap Chi knows how to entertain. Last year's CC was one of the best tournaments of the year. Needs more shot glass money matches.

Wow... so EventHubs is actually doubling down on their adblock initiative... Now, if you are running NoScript to stop javascript on EH, it will display a notice telling you to enable javascript... still very easily circumventable. However, if you do enable javascript and have adblock, instead of being able to only read 1 story, you can now read ZERO.

Funnier is that the adblock notice links you to their thread about why you shouldn't use adblock... which you can't read, because of the notice.

Even worse, if you are one of the $20 supporters of EH, the ads only get removed when you are logged in... but you CAN'T log in because their adblock detector wipes the page out.

I wouldn't pay anyone to just talk but I would still watch it (for free) because FChamp gives some legitimately good advice and strategies that can help players of all skill range (at least for UMVC3). I am pretty sure if UMVC3 survives for an additional year or so people will be using the stuff in his tutorial videos as standard strategies especially his anti Vergil stuff. Sort of like how the stuff Viscant said in his first video basically became staple for quite a while (well until the end of Vanilla, the strats are now obsolete in the new game).

Like I said before, they should put it on youtube, with gameplay footage, and releasing it in some 10 minute drops each week. Everyone would watch the hell out of it, they would make some cpm money (probably more then they'll make with it now) and the product would be a lot (A LOT) better

I think this is Gootecks 2nd attempt of a paid fighting game podcast. The first one was with Arturo doing a podcast during Vanilla SF4. I think Art was fresh coming off beating Daigo in that money match and also he played a lot of Vanilla SF4 in Japan.

Playing in Japan was Arturo's hyperbolic time chamber. He was making bank when he came back to the states. He talked about making 600 dollars a week for 6 months just from winning tournaments. But that was when SF4 was still fresh and Arturo still had the will to strive to be the best.

The interview is pretty interesting on the psyche of a top playe....Arturo.
