Sidenote: In general, would Noct be more useful to share, or should I put up T.Terra (843 MAG) or Emperor (770 MAG) instead? Basically I'm trying to see if I can make some use of these pulls I got while trying for the Nier girls (I also got Bikini D. Fina but haven't leveled / potted her yet).
Things I did today: get the ruler's ring recipe and make exactly 1 ruler's ring because Light megacrysts might as well be wood from the true cross, beat Ultros/Chupon. Took 3 tries because I didn't realize that turn 5 was actually turn 6 and thus killing Chupon on that turn caused Ultros to go nuts and wipe me. Team was:

Question I've never known, if going after a fire element is better to have both weapons fire based or is just one needed. Not sure how the math works out.

I guess the best thing about this game is, I don't need to play to actually play and make progress. Otherwise, I'm right there with most of you. The terrible rates on the Nier banner really hurt my excitement on the game and put it at an all time low. Not even farming the raid... first time for that. I feel like I'm going to be going into hibernation with it for a bit and just do the min from now on. Basically Raid for the rewards and Mogking for the Tickets/exclusive weapons
TM farming is great.
On the other side of gaming news, decided to pick up FFXIII again and finally finish it. Said to myself I'm going to beat at least 5 more games in my backlog before I get Nier or it hits a 50% off sale. Q_Q. Did get Doom though

Just 1 worked fine for A2 on my Aigaion team. Crimson sabers on both and got those sweet, sweet elemental chains.

That's my fourth Ingus which is going to make my Fry really happy. Too bad I'm missing Genji Gloves which hurts even more now.

Thanks! I usually don't care about getting rainbows but I really wanted everyone in this banner especially after playing through the opening hour of Route C. Needless to say, Nier Automata became one of my favorite games after that moment. I really WANTED to get 2B in this game after that scene. So many feels ;_;
I still can't believe I got them all. I shouldn't be this happy about a video game, let alone a gacha, and yet here I am constantly smiling like I just achieved a huge personal breakthrough in my life.

Fellow F2P here, I managed to get a buttload of 210s and finally a 9S just yesterday. I'm satisfied with that...kinda

My Ace is not BiS, I like it to have HP & status immunities for people using it in trials.
Kinda sad that the Nier banner is gonna end. After doing my daily and ticket pull today I'll stop pulling for a very long time.
The banner started pretty good with me pulling A2 but everything else just feels like a chore and pulling in this game must the worst experience I have ever had in a game.
The frustration goes beyond anything.
I was throwing everything I had on this banner (30k Lapis, 80+ tickets plus 4* and 11 pull tickets) and got A2, a dupe Queen and two 9S. Not too bad one might say and I guess as a f2p'er I can only ask for so much but it still feels pretty unsatisfying.
I was doing Story missions to get enough Lapis for a last shot on a 5k pull and to my surprise was actually greeted by a rainbow crystal (my first ever in a 11 pull) ... it was one dupe Lightning (got the first during Aileen Banner) and 10 blues! Felt like the game was telling me to just fuck off with every unit I got.
I ain't even mad, but the return of investment seems pretty off and I am just talking about time, not money.
Gonna keep doing daily stuff and farm my TMs but thats it. Maybe rate-ups will make it more worthwhile in the future.

I have been playing since day 1 of the soft launch (with the downloaded apk) and haven't spent a cent on the game. My experience goes as follows:
I'm Rank 122, have beaten nearly everything in the game (not Aigaion or Great Malboro yet), and have 6 Rainbows - Noctis (Dec), Delita (6* Tilith banner), Ramza (G5 banner), Emperor (Nier banner), Trance Terra (Nier banner), Bikini D. Fina (Nier banner).
It's kinda nuts how long it took to leave the No Base 5* Club or for Noct to get some rainbow friends. If Noct hadn't come when he did, it's likely many events would have gone unfinished. Noct + Cecil/WoL + DC Refia/Tilith + OP Friend Unit have been the key to beating many tough challenges.
As for general pull luck, far too often getting banner golds is a huge struggle. Often, a desired unit won't show up until months after their banner ends. Many are still highly allusive (Setzer... why do you hate me?).
Thankfully, Healers and Tanks were never an issue. Cecil was my reroll and good healers came frequently. Max LB Cecil + Lenna / DC Refia served well until they were mostly replaced by 6* WoL + Tilith.
The hardest hurdle to overcome had been dishing out high DPT with only Noct + Friend Unit. It pretty much felt like chainers didn't even exist. However, going all in on the Tidus and Nier banners provided some options at long last (countless Agrias, tons of Rikku, 2x Amelia, 2x Razler, Ashe and 4x 9S). Finally being able to chain properly has been a massive game changer.
All in all, the game can be equal parts entertaining and frustrating. Our GAF community is the true reason it has had so much staying power. If it wasn't for GAF, I'd probably only play once a month for the new story updates. I enjoy discussing strategies and celebrating each other's triumphs or consoling each other on our failures. I can also live vicariously though everyone else's luck

I know exactly how you feel and will be doing the same as well. I went all in doing close to the same amount of pulls and walked away with four 9S + Emperor / Trance Terra / Bikini D. Fina. Yet I still feel jilted. Mostly because Nier was my favorite game last gen. I desperately wanted to get at least one of the leading girls here.
Sadly i didnt manage to max Mechanical Heart....stuck at 95%.

It sucks that the raid stopped giving me Pod 153 mogs. Stuck at 65%, Mechanical Heart at 90%. I do still have my unused 5* mogs to finish the pod....which us worth it I think?

Thanks to Rixa's Ace, I was finally able to beat the Gilgamesh trial! I had a few close calls that almost wiped me. I accidentally chained with Tri-beam and it pushed me past the threshold unexpectedly, twice lol. Then Rain being a complete idiot and covering my WoL. Managed to get all the rewards too. Feels really good man. Thanks again Rixa!

Someone on GameFAQs beat the trial day one with this setup and they all had around 6k HP, Wilhelm with 11k. I'm not too far off from that.
When that happens I'll be making calls for Friend Aces with status resist and 6k ish HP, lol. Pretty happy I pulled him randomly months ago.

Did my last set of pulls today for this banner including a 5K Lapis pull and no 2B. The dream is dead on my end.

In other milestone news, I just got Agrias to 6-star so I have a full 6-star team. I'm using her because she chains with Fohlen and Ashe, so I should (hopefully) be able to start getting pretty high chains going for decent damage. With Fohlen and Ashe alone I can pretty reliably get to 13 chain, which I guess is max since Fohlen's nuke is 7 hits.
Agrias has been a fixture in my team the past two weeks for her Full Break. Invaluable for the Engels raid.

A2 is stuck at 66.8%. 9S is at 95.7%, 1 resentment TM done second is at 15%, 1 mechanical heart TM done, second is at 45%.
I probably got enough virtuous contracts to get two TMs with the amount I pulled of that one. Maxed every summon except shiva and siren. Made a shit ton of money off selling Gil turtles.

My rainbow luck has been horrible this banner but I've pulled 6 9S and 3 Eve, so golds have been nice to me.

Got my second 9S from my daily. I'm okay with this. I don't feel like I'll miss A2 since I have 2B.
I'm also getting closer to my Genji Glove, so pretty soon I'll have 3 units capable of DW.
