Got 6 of her, can only have 4 in a party as I'm using Tidus to carry them through Pro.

Tell me about it, thought I'd use three or four more tickets just for one Desch but keep getting Sara after Sara. So stuck with a party of Fryevia, Dark Fina (both get me through ELT easily), Onion Knight, Sara, Sara.

Yes, started hoarding sometime in March, we're now at the beginning of September so almost 6 months and got 55k lapis now.
Achieving 25k lapis is no easy feat.

Sylphs are a race in ff xiv. They humanized (is the even a real word) them when they turned them into an esper.
Before 14, we had 4~ Not sure which they are truly designed from though...

Man this thread hasn't been the same since Nier. It's weird that this makes me want to play the game less. Never really realised how a big portion of my enjoyment of this game has been based on what we have here. Once again across was right lmao.
Been enjoying JP a bit more just because I've learned to go full casual mode with it (but please step 5 give me Sephiroth, I want to finally be able to chain!) and weirdly it feels less attached to this thread. Finally got the timing to chain Lil' Rydia's and Sakura's LBs for that 79 hit chain, but getting them consistently is difficult even with eccentric.
In completely unrelated news why is it as soon as football season starts I want to move to the states lol. Envious of some of you guys haha.

I'm completely bored of this Mog King event because it's impossible to farm ELT.
I've been doing ELT when someone pops up that can one-hit the boss, but they're never bonus units.
What on earth where they thinking in making all of the event units utterly useless?
It doesn't help that Mog King events are stale as hell now. All the same rewards, overpriced crysts, etc.

Yeah same. Mog king is definitely not helping this lack of interest. I had to spend moogles to get Ring of Lucii just to make my life easier. Just trying to get tickets and quartz with friend bonus units.

It took me a few tickets to get 3 Saras, and I don't even give a damn about the rewards. Just other, equally worthless, tickets that won't ever pull banner units anyway.

Yea it's really odd. I think a lot of it has to do with the lack of any assurance from Gumi that there's good changes coming. Not that I really expected anything, but Nier really did shift the tide and conversation a lot with many people. It definitely feels different in here and I find myself not as concerned with what's going on. I think a lot of it is the banner right now.
I wonder how things have changed across the board. Did Nier really cause a massive shift and have people reevaluate the game overall?
Love the ExviusGAF community so I'm not going anywhere but I'm hoping we get some news in the coming weeks that reinvigorates our squad.

Is there a list of LBs that are worth maxing? My only max LB characters atm are Cecil (benched after 6* WoL) and Rikku.
There are a boatload of burst pots clogging inventory space, but Noctis is the only one I could think of using them on. However, he is already 6*, so it is gonna take way more pots + he rarely ever gets enough crystals to actually use his LB.

We've been through several highs and lows already and all of this lately is definitely another of the lows. I enjoyed the last story event much more than the previous Veritas one, and the main campaign story has kept me interested too (almost to the end of the current chunk I think). I'm not even doing MK event more than 3 times a day for the quest, then going back to TM farming and not really playing the game. Totally fine with me that way, been enjoying the last days of summer and getting outside more now that the wife's feeling better after her surgery messed her up for most of the summer. I don't need to have my attention devoted 100% to the game to stay invested in playing, I personally like having some down time until it picks up again. One of the reasons I would never ever ever ever play an alt or JP account.
Earth Veritas, Wilhelm, Rikku, Noctis and 9S are great spammable Lbs to invest right now. Roy and Vern will be great when they come too.
Don't even bother with Ayaka, you will never have that available in a fight not even with her ass filled with LB yielding TMs. It's straight up unviable.

As for me i can say that i'm still excited that we get news tomorrow. I can't wait for a few units (even though i won't pull them cause 5*) i want. I recently bought a switch with Zelda, Splattoon and Sonic Mania and ffbe still is my most played game.

I beat 3-star Golem in JP using SPR Lila. It took me a bunch of tries though because I had to get his pattern down and had to make sure my Lilas were alive to do it.
83 hit chain using 3x attacks in one turn with Riesz as a finisher. It was about 80% of Golem's life in one turn, lol.

Nier was a highly anticipated event that was pushed way up and drained tons of resources from a large portion of the non-whale community here. Since then banners and events have been pretty blah in comparison and will likely continue to be until Cloud unless we get some crazy global exclusive event.
Cloud banner isn't really something recommended to pull from unless you are a freaking Blue Whale willing to pull both 5*. We will get a huge streak of very bad banners unless you are willing to go for the big prize, so don't expect perception of people not willing to pay to change before S2, the rates change or the rewards buff.
To whale Cloud banner right you're gonna want two Elfrieds and one Cloud. Then you'll have to farm their TMs. Its obviously not for most people, especially as 3% rate ups are right around the corner from that banner.
But yeah, Nier burnt everyone out. Its was expensive and it didn't help that Gumi came across as intentionally greedy with it, with the addition of Eve and the lower banner rates on a double 5*, etc. They kind wasted all that good will they got from a very generous Anniversary event and rewards.
Its also the fact that Nier units, like A2, were actually really good. Where people that actually got her are set for awhile for gatcha.
Gumi really needs to kick-start interest again, a larger variety in the types of events would be a good start.
JP: So, I finally decided to create a JP account to see what all the fuss was about, in terms of pulls.
Here's the team I ended up with after just 3 days played (hard press through story missions for the 5 pulls in step banner):
I rerolled until I started off with a Sephiroth and Lira. Only other 5* I got was Jiraiya who apparently isn't any good. I also didn't get a good healer (got Roselia and Luka), and got Earth Veritas and Cecil for tanks (no WoL, sadly). Still, hard to complain.

Hopefully half of us still here by the time Step up banner arrives. Man the news tomorrow made probably be the final nail in the coffin for some. I already heavy invested GL so no way I'll be leaving GL. JP is cool with all the motherfucking rainbows, but I love my GL account a lot more.

Finally did the latest story content. The sacrifice that was made to stop the
gate. Gonna miss dark fina.
Farm 2 Aprons and a 4/2 Magistral crests. The other BiS stuff will be on that banner with that Mim hat and Silt TM, Yuna TM will also be important but that's something ill advised to chase unless you are loaded lol. Staff Mastery will come with the Blood Moon, the best hat with the Blue Bird and there will be another fantastic staff with one of the 10 man bosses.
Well, one more run and I'll have enough for the last ticket and be done with the event. The best part about it was it was easy to phone in. Nothing exciting or different this time either. I skipped the sq and most awakening mats.
Next week is probably the FFXI raid since they screwed up their own schedule and have nothing else left to do. Since they never bother to update them this one will also have shitty rates and drops because it came much sooner than Nier in JP. Not quitting the game or anything but it's hard to get excited when everything good is a poison pill (Nier) or delayed X months (awakenings).
