Updated my post with all the questions asked there.

I'm watching someone doing a full summary in French of the fan fiesta, so he said first question was "Why no Balthier?"
Prepare to cry because they said
he was too strong for us at the moment.

Q2 : why no Lorraine/Loren = same as above, coming later
Q3 : why Noctis was nerfed = too strong, they are working on buffing him.
Saying there would be no more nerf because it complicate stuff to buff them later.
Q4 : will exclusive units get enhancements = well duh Elza just got some.
Q5 : will Sephiroth be there = they instantly said yes.
Q6 : Dragon Quest? = NO

I'm glad they won't change any future units like they did to Noctis going forward.

I was checking out the wiki and Balthier doesn't even seem stronger than what we have now. That Mark and counter with a high powered attack seems neat but it doesn't look like you can even chain with it. And all the strong attacks can basically swap between elements which is cool. But he didn't seem to have and larger than normal multipliers on anything.

Someone on Reddit said they mentioned they will release units that have equal power/abilities as those from collabs we don't get like DQ which would be cool if accurate. I still think we will get a DQ collab when 11 comes out, although I would imagine the units will be different at that point. King Metal Slime and Sabercat please.

Well, he is a fantastic unit with powerful finishers (though the most powerful one is very unreliable). Maybe they though the 50% breaks were too much coupled with the Imperils?

I can't really understand their line of thought here. This is their biggest fuck up this year, a FFXII event without Balthier might as well not even exist.

I saw someone on reddit make a gold metal cactaur to be a ff equivalent to liquid metal slime (only real difference was the tm)

"Balthier is too powerful to give to you guys right now"

"Aigaon is so tough when we release him, you shouldn't bother fighting him"

Hmm....

hmm...

The resistance on the arms is irrelevant, after the first attack there won't be any.

Fryevia will probably be the best dps character to use, even more than Aileen.

Orlandu is completely useless though, so I'm probably not doing this for a while :(

Whats interesting about fry is her resistance to a kill strike

Means there will be more rounds where she can go on the offensive and the buff comes back with reraise

She might be the only option for Global for DPS. But If I run a friend Fry Im not sure who I will run otherwise since I dont have tilith

Ill have to think this trial through

Isn't Balthier's strongest attack(not counting finishing blow which happens on a counter) only slightly stronger than Olive's?
I wouldn't say slightly. He should be able to reach a very high attack and you have to double the damage being dealt due to DW. Plus, the possibilities of several types of Imperils puts him in a very favorable position to deal severa damage.

Still,I wouldn't call him too strong for us but whatever.

Wait, what do you mean? As far as I know her resistance is not a reraise but actually a 1 HP wall. If anything she wouldn't benefit from a reraise buff, but something like Demonic Life makes more sense.

Hi I'm looking for more GAF friends. Please add me 886572296

Thanks!

z2B84zE.png

Sent you a request :)

Current TMs:
Rasler - 28.6%
Guy - 5.6%
Guy - 29.0%
Guy - 23.9%
Guy - 22.5%

Aiming to grab 2 of Guy's TMs. Going for a lot of HP TMs for a while.

Yolo'd 2 5k pulls on Tidus banner because i somehow felt the urge to have a 2nd Tidus after seeing the spark chain trick.

First 5k, gold>rainbow Rem. New so yay.

2nd 5k rainbow, Tidus.

Best yolo urge ever!

Crazy pull there.

You've been complaining lately, haven't you? It's the only explanation.

No thats what i meant. I guess it doesnt matter since reraise allows you to act the following turn anyways

hmm yeah i suppose i wont have a true grasp of her effectiveness till later

I did see Aigion can be Spr debuffed. Thats nuts and makes Fry even more of a prime candidate and hell hybrid attacks in general

Who knew that hybrid damage would become this useful since the days of Rakasha

So ... they're not doing any DQ collab for GL? Please tell me this is a joke.

Edit: On Exvius Wiki page... taking survey. Where the hell is NeoGAF for their preferred community list? >_>;

Robot is Holy immune or something isn't he?

I saw someone say Orlandeau is useless in this trial. Wondering if I should level up another Setzer or whatever.

Can setzer do enough damage for the one shot?

You might need 3 with dual wield and Machine killer

and Two AoE chainers. even then i wonder if 10 millions AoE damage is doable with the cheese method

100% immune, you could bring that down to 50% but the damage would be shit.

Setzer cheese won't be possible on global, if I'm not mistaken that takes 4x machine killer on 2x Setzer + enough luck to get the highest % attack.

All I need is to craft my 8 Edgars into three more Machine Killers and I'm ready. lol

I don't know. I haven't read shit about the Robot trial.

I have no clue what I'm about to run into when it arrives. I expect to get my ass whooped quite a few times.

Always happens.

Edit - Seems this is all about one shotting him? So I could use 2x Orlandeau as my DPS for a long term battle, just will need to change out their Excaliburs?

Someone will test it and we will have to wait and see, I still think they wouldn't hit that hard with only one machine killer each.

You would have to score and insane roll but evev one Setzer hitting the finisher twice on one chain with machine killer is what... just shy of 1 million?

so 3 could maybe dish out 6million in one volley at most?

And instantly be wiped next turn, yeah I don't see it happening.

Balthier not coming yet is interesting IMO. The release of Garbanzo shows that Gumi may deviate more from JP's path than we expected so it's hard to predict what they'll do with Balthier. From what I've seen since I started playing (end of January), they have avoided shoehorning FF units in random banners, notably removing Tidus from his original banner. Hence, I'd expect Balthier coming in some sort of FFXII banner, but I doubt they are releasing the new FFXII units soon since they'd be overpowered so...

Anyway, I hope the release of Garbanzo is a sign of things to come and we get more surprises!

-- finished up Mog King for the complete clear and that last LB Pot, getting my Rikku's LB level up to 22/25. Not bad.

-- apparently 47K others have finished the Mog King event as well. That should give you a good idea at the super active community size, I think.

-- got my ticket for expeditions, pulled on FFX banner ... It was GOLD!! Leon????? Whyyyyyy

At least your pulls haven't been constantly Vaantastic every single day.

/looks at his 9 million Mog King raid points in utter shame...

So, Luneth is finally getting some love likely this week. I'm looking over his enhancements for the 39,208th time and I'm still scratching my head over some of them.

Sword Mastery enhancements are awesome and dirt cheap. Only 1 single T4. Gravy.

On the other hand, Advance makes almost no sense. +1 is worthless. +2 yields a nice ATK buff boost, but also effectively reduces the duration of that buff to 1 usable turn. Weaksauce.

Cut Through, is as expected, but leaves one pondering. Is wasting a turn casting Advance really worth not casting Cut Through twice:

Advance + [Cut Through+2] = (200% + 200%) + (1050% + 1050%) = 2500%
[Cut Through+2] x 2 = (700% + 700%) + (700% + 700%) = 2800%

Outside of the possibility of a nice 1050% chain capper (only once though), what am I missing here?

The +100% atk? Advance+cut through does more damage... I little more

Until Ramza. But even until then, it's pretty easy to scrape together at least a 40% atk buff and I'm not spending that many support crysts on a temporary small increase. I guess it also saves some MP since Advance is cheaper than Cut Through twice (45 a pop) but unless they reduce the crysts... I don't really see the point

Syntsui

Advance is worthless, keep Cutting Through until the boss is down and rely on any of the several ATK buffs available.

Anyway, I really wanted to give a chance to make Luneth relevant again but the costs are just beyond insane. I'll give all the crysts to DKC and it will take several months before I can even think about enhancing another unit.

OK, I'm not crazy on this one then. Thanks for the confirmation.

I plan on getting Luneth's passive sword/katana boost see where that nets him damage wise... He's still in my main party so /joy on that boost...

Let's see if Gumi reduces any of the costs with the maintenance.

I'm looking at the same decision myself (Luneth or DKC) after I likely finish Elza this coming week.

Don't have DKC so Luneth will finally be the first time I upgrade a skill, this many months after it was introduced!

Who else is counting the minutes to play Zodiac Age? Just bought it but it will only be unlocked in 2h44m >.>
Wish I was, but I'm gonna have to hold off. Still trying to get through Persona 5 and Yakuza 0 before I get anymore games! But damn am I excited for it...

Also, Prime deals went live and I'm not seeing any indication of anything for Coins, yet...

Not buying it right away but yeah I'm really jazzed to play through FFXII again at some point, especially with the new job system.

Gamestop was having a 60% trade in credit last week +10% more if you're a pro, so I purchased Zodiac Age among a bunch of other stuff, but mine is getting shipped so it'll be a few days off~

My backlog is far, far too long to even consider picking it up at launch. I'll wait for a Black Friday special.

No, Aileen will be better than Fryevia probably. as she gets 50% Machine Killer naturally. You could equip Fryevia with one but then you could just equip Aileen with another anyway. =P
