I pulled some stuff from storage, FF: pray was among them, it's the first volume of the FF vocal collection. Part 2 being Love Will Grow, but I didn't like that one as much (still good though). I have been listening to this all day, such a great album, vocals courtesy of Risa Ohki.

The prelude is just godly with vocals, I could listen to it over and over again, not to mention pray (FF theme). Other favorites include Mon P'tit Chat, as well as Au Palais De Verre (motoya's theme I used to hum it a lot years ago, such a catchy tune) both sung in french, both amazing. Last and certainly not least is Toki no Hourousha (aka: Terra's theme, such a great track definetly ranks as one of Uematsu's best) so brilliant and amazingly orchestrated it almost brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it, of course it may be because Terra is my favorite FF charcter ever, but still I think anyone would be hard pressed to disagree on the greatness of the song.

The entire album is brilliant and I cant remember why I ever put it in storage in the first place. I found a site that has samples of 4 of the songs, all four of them come highly recommended you have to listen to them... seriously they are that good (link below). This is such a great album, I cannot recommend getting this album any more. It's so hard to believe this came out in 1994 because the music seems so timeless, I think I bought bought it back in 1996 a whole decade ago... jesus it feels like these 10 years just passed me by.

Yeah, I also pulled that from storage too. The only song which I really liked was Realm's theme, everything else paled in comparison to pray.

Love Will Grow wasn't that great; I think Valse des Amourex from that CD is actually really good though, very Edith Piaf-ish. Pray was wonderful though. The Voyage -Endless Ocean track, Tina's theme, and the Prelude were my favs.

I just listened to Valse Des Amourex due to the Edith Piaf reference (I adore Edith Piaf) it's really good. Sounds like we similar tastes, I actually remember waiting for love will grow to ship it took about two weeks, I remeber being disappointed that it did not live up to pray.

Glad you like it. All in all LWG isn't as good as Pray, but that being said I'm glad that we got another CD of Uematsu's composition vocalizations.

Noa Chora Mininah alone is worth the price of admission. Risa Ohki delivers a wonderful performance really making the pieces feel so much bigger than they actually are. A wonderful wonderful CD. (makes you wonder what happened on Love Will Grow...)

"Long Distance" is a good one too, but my favorite is still realm's theme .

Great pick I used to hum "kids run through the streets all the time". I also would turn on my Snes, and FF 3 and go into a town, and just listen to the song, while doing homework, and stuff.
