Final Fantasy X-2 (how to use special dress spheres?)

as mentioned in the topic. I have Yuna + Rikku's special dresses but I can't figure out how to activate + set up these spheres. THe instructions were L1 - move 4 then R1?

I also have the Unerring path garment grid. Problem is the special spheres won't show up to slot them in.

Try playing more than 3 missions before forming an opinion...

...

then get back to me and tell me how it is after the first three missions, because that's as far as I've played.

yo. please don't debate the cheese. I like this more than FFX (which I hated).. and which is why I'm only playing FF X-2 now. :( Its actually quite fun.

now... about the dress spheres :)

hot spring bathing scene = slap forehead, wtf, hilarious..

yeah Final Fantasy X 2 is just terrible. Damn you Square Enix for ruining the FF name.

I really really hated FFX. The EXTREME linearity of the game made it totally unplayable for me + No world map = F. I did finish it but I had the .. .. .. I class FFX as the worst FF ever.... that says a lot.

Just quoting for agreement.

I felt the same way.

This thread is filled with crazy.

But at least no one here is making claims that the game is empowering to females! Now that was a trippy debate!

Hey guys, here's an idea: Answer his question?

Morans!

Mr. FFX-2 loser I mean fan:

To use the special spheres, you must equip (use) one of every of your regular dress spheres on your current grid, then you should get the ability to use your special one by tapping L1.

I think.

Here's something from GameFAQs (why didn't you check here first, moran):

To use them you have to transform into each Dressphere on your Garment Grid
at least once during the same battle. Once you have done that you can press
L1 to bring up the Garment Grid Window and then press R1 and then "X" to
transform.

Ok, now you guys can hate on FFX-2 all you want.

Yes. There's special Garment Grids you can equip that'll make it easy to access your special spheres too.

thanks demi.

About the FFX-2 hate, I don't really hate it, like burn it at the stake hate, but I just didn't appreciate the fact that I couldn't get 100% completion because I missed talking to Yuna in the moogle costume at the very....very...beginning. No thanks Square-Enix! Moving on! (or was it Squaresoft still)

I'm in complete agreement on the annoying things you have to do to get 100%, it's pretty clear that the game was designed with strategy guides in mind, and that's a pretty serious offense in my book.

I still like it a lot more than FFX.

Yeah FFX-2 has more flavor and pizazz, but FFX has that kickass Jecht song during the fight. Man that's a sweet song.

When it comes down to it, I'd take X over X-2.

Words of wisdom.

I'm not sure if all of the FFX-2 hate I agree with, but the game was fairly akward to me after playing FFX.

Imagine, if you will, that George Lucas made Star Wars Episode I differently--that instead of the current film--all the characters throughout the movie acted as if they were Jar Jar in hot pants. Then add an extra 3 hours to the flick, add even more Force Bloodtesting, and a 45 minute Cantina scene where Obi Wan must dress up as a Twi'lek hooker and entertain Darth Maul with a lapdance. Now, with this in mind watch the classic Star Wars trilogy and then stand in line at the theatre and wait to watch this modified version of Episode I for the first time. When you leave the theatre you will know how FFX-2 left me feeling.

I guess if you like FFX, it'd be hard to like X-2 (too cheesy). But I hated FFX and you know what I enjoy the most in this game so far. The combat. Seriously addictive. I love RIkku stealing shit that I don't use and now I'm collect Blue Magic (not using a faq so I've only found one skill :()

I liked FFX. I also liked FFX-2. Very fun game, I probably enjoyed it more than FFX (but then again I love the FF job system). Yes, there were some cheesy parts in the story, but they didn't bother me much. The only thing that was frustrating was the completion percentage. There's no way a person could get 100% without a guide or (many) playthroughs. I played through without a guide and ended up missing one dressphere (trainer), Paine's special dressphere, and numerous little scenes. I'd like to get 100% someday, but I've never managed to completely replay an RPG in my life.

the one guy almost got the answer correct. To use the special Dress sphere. You most use everyclass on the gird. Just keep swithcing it with the L2. when you have changed to all the classes on the grid, then press R2 and it will being up the special Dress sphere.

Do not question my authority, little one. I am the supreme Final Fantasy master!

I OWN EVERY SINGLE ONE I AM THE TRUE RULER OF THE LAND OF SPIRA.

The FAQ that demi quoted has the correct procedure. And it's the L1 and R1 buttons btw.

you are correct is R1. I see I accidently posted it as R2. I should have read my post before I posted it. I thought I had written R1. Btw.... I tired using L1 for the Special Dress shphere. it never worked. it was only good for changing between classes.

go it working. On to chapter 3 now. Didn't get to pick up PAINE'S SPECIAL DRESSSPHERE. Man I am cheesed off. Still game looks great and plays great.
