I've seen a few people in the FC talking about letting their subscription lapse. Sad times ahead. :( I hope we don't lose too many people.

The coil group I'm in is still getting sorted (haven't started yet). There's a couple other groups going, and I'm sure new ones will be forming soon since a bunch of people just got their relics the last few days.

Just had my first encounter with someone teleport hacking. I was farming Diremites or whatever they are and this WHM showed up and started teleporting around to each enemy and claiming with Aero. Pretty bullshit. I reported them, but knowing SE, it'll take a while to ban them.

It's funny how quickly you forget things like that lol. Roe did a great job at the end pulling it off. I'm around a lot and willing to help if I'm not busy :0

I'm Oisin.

Thanks! I am always up for helping too, but most of the people in the FC are past me in the story. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up in a few weeks, though, and at least jump in the HM primal or AK runs.

On the subject, though, the FC on Sargatanas has been super friendly and helpful all along. When people aren't busy offers of help are always quick, whether it's a story dungeon, a meld, crafting, whatever. Even if I can't be as active, it helps a lot knowing there will be friendly people around when I do log on.

Well, last night was really productive! Got WAR to 50, then went back and bought some accessories for my sch, re-statted 15/15 int/mnd (so I could still dink around on SMN) and decided to try beating story on SCH.

First up was CM, which I had assumed was only going to be people running for story reasons. Boy was i wrong. By the end of the first non-entrance cutscene, the entire party was already off my minimap. I ran around frantically and found them eventually, but quickly figured out these guys were speed running. From this point on I skipped all cutscenes but really enjoyed the dynamics to the level. Would still have no idea how to run it again if I had to however.

Praematorium (or whatever it's called) was really my wakeup moment for how much fun a healer class can be in FFXIV. After healing through the whole thing, with only 1 person that had run it before (7 noobs), I'm proud to say we didn't have any wipes. The first
Ultima
fight literally had me on the edge of my seat, swiftcasting raises for DD classes that stand in the red, popping off last second heals to the other healer, and using energy drain to get that last 200 MP I need to AoE cure. It was legitimately a rush.

On an all-time high after beating that and watching the story cutscenes, I decided "what the hell, let's go for Ifrit." 3 successful runs later and I got my healer book (and that mofo GLOWS.)

I'm sure for most of you guys that have been at endgame for weeks, this is all old-hat, but that was the best night i've had with this game, bar none.

We had a tank leave praetorium during my run right before first uktima. Had 1 join with 15 min left and proceeded to beat the remaining bosses with 10 sec left on duty timer, what a rush.

You guys see that the first five days transfer goes live it'll be for free?

It's awesome Square recognizes a lot of people are separated from their friends due to server capacity. I just don't get why so many fans were against the idea of a limited time free transfers in the first place.

Where did you see this?

I did 180 days too. Im in this for that long, at least.

I still play daily and still mostly enjoy my time with it aside from a few bad DF groups.

Same with me. I try and hop on every day and signed up for six months. I've started messing around with other jobs and getting them up along with filling out my end game gear. I just need to find a static to start BC, though I've got quite a weird schedule to try and work around.

Hello fellos! I see many posts about making bank crafting and, as an aspiring artisan myself, would appreciate some advice :)

I am currently leveling (~lvl 15) botanist, leatherworker, and carpenter, in addition to my "mains" archer and conjurer (~lvl 20). I basically only get to play 1 night a week, so as you can imagine this is rather... slow going lol. Is there anything I can focus down within these crafts that can help me build up a little nest egg? Or am I SOL because I'm not miner?

I ask because I'm keen on having enough cash for a large house right when 2.1 drops. It's a bit of a personal mission to get my tiny FC into the same instance as GAF on Ultros ^_^ so we've got to be able to move fast.

Any guidance would be appreciated. I get so little time to play and things take so long in this game: I'd like to make efficient use of my time.

Finally got a group and did Manor. Got some earrings and a ring. Oh fun, looks like Titan is next. He is easy on light, right?
He's pretty easy, had to 3 man Titan last time I went because my friend(who I was running it for) got knocked off in the first 30 seconds lol. Avoid his landslide since it'll knock you off the map, avoid both his close range and outer edge aoes and break ppl out when they get trapped in rock prisons. If the healer is good, you shouldn't have an issue

But yeah you have brayflox ahead of you before you hit Titan. For the love of me I cannot get cloth to drop, ton of plate gear tho

Get Goldsmith to 15 for Manipulation or Learherworker to lv 50 for Wate Not II, since you have limited time use your Levemetes for the 3-turn in 200% EXP bonus for HQ items. This will level up up fast but you probably won't spirit bond anything 100%

Try to sign on each day just to sell your stuff, takes less than 10 mins, then collect the Gil the next day.

I've ran it a total of 15 times and have yet to see the body piece drop, but the majority of the early gear that does seems to be about 95% pink plate gear.

is it best to just power through the first 50 levels on your own and then go back and get the job(s) you want and all that?

Nope because you'll just burn yourself out. My opinion of course, but it seems better to level what you want as you go. That way you'll learn how to play your favorites and be better off in the end.

Demolished a full DL and relic+1 BLM in damage in AK. And my gear is shit.

Learn your rotation. Stop hard casting Thunder III. :P

I find that which thunder I cast varies a lot. I normally open with 3 on a pull while tank is getting initial aggro built up and I don't want to start bombing fire spells immediately, but after that it's usually 1 or 2 during my rotation depending on MP (start casting after first tick after bliz3 regen). SC+T3 when convert is down, SC+Flare when it's up.

My favorite is the BLMs who alternate fire 3 and blizzard 3 "because it's faster casting and I never run out of MP."

Because I want them done and like collecting trophies.I mean I know I won't clear the binding coil anytime soon and I'm not even gonna bother with the 100 raids but still. I am not essentially quitting just taking a break till they fix things I don't feel this game is worth the subscription at this point. The lag is really bad, I get hit with 9000 very often (may just be me) and as of right now the community in general (not gaffers) sucks. Hopefully alot of them thin out and when endgame is little more than running the same 2 dungeons over and over its just not fun anymore. I am legacy though so my classes and stuff were at 50 so maybe that hindered my experience but yeah gonna sit on it for abit.
Doh! Forgot about PS3 trophies, thought you meant just the FFXIV PC in-game achievements.

Yeah this is basically what I do. BLM rotation is pretty straight forward, just gotta pay attention to your MP really.

Also lol. It's rather surprising how many BLM don't even seem to read the tooltips.

I posted this awhile ago but no one responded...

Im going to reset my attributes for my Paladin using 10k seals.

What should I devote my points to? I know Vitality.. But anything else?

Pure Vitality, I had full 30 Strength, it didn't make a huge difference, but having 450 extra HP on you pushing you to 4500+ (without any DarkLight gear helps a lot)
So yeah it's worth switching over, helps in WP and the last Boss, before I can only eat 3 Tonberries, now I can do 4 (still stay on the safe side and eat 3, but can do 4, if DPS get kill happy on adds, if 5 it's Insta-Death at the moment, maybe full DL might get me to 5200+)

To all who quoted my End Game info, sorry but it is the truth

You will have to do 8 AK's to hit your cap, you will lose 20 Tomes cause, 8 * 40 = 320, 300 is cap for Myth
(Can do 7 and be 20 short and maybe do a Garuda or two)

CM's will become your bread and butter end game content wise, most runs go from 25-50 minutes, you'll have good parties, you'll have horrible parties
Yes some people who have run it ungodly times, still have noob first timer brain farts and pull adds that make you lose the 1st cannon set, even though they should know to keep adds away, and when you pull big boys keep them the fuck away, like almost to starting pillars of the path and just Shield Bash away like a mad man
Most SMN/SCH #YOLO with their pets and if you are trying to sneak by will auto-aggro and pull sets

End games problem is your stuck with 2-3 Instances that reward you max amount, so people gravitate toward those

The stuff isn't spread out, that would make the player choose carefully about time vs reward
Right know its play the same damn scenario over and over
Before people had problems with bees @ Demon Wall, but now they're so efficient, geared up, that they just kill it before they spawn or if they do, #YOLO the wall and just laugh at the bees trying to lower their HP with Thunderstrike

Thing is if you become efficient it brings boredom with it, if there's no chance of "Oh Shit!" moment, people start getting tired, becomes a mundane process
God forbid if some people make a few mistakes, it frustrates the efficient player cause they have now bred into the thinking that all players are efficient as they are, no mistakes, just kill, get those 40 Tomes of Myth

If 3-4 dungeons dropped Myth, different amounts with different speed times, it would be a better process
Don't make one dungeon stand out more than the other, spread the wealth but also take time completion into consideration

Example would be:
How about making one dungeon really hard or a lot of time investment, say 90+ minutes, in return you get 100 Myth
So do 3 runs and your capped or if you want, you can do 2 AK runs and net yourself 80 Myth
Hell if you think are good do 3 WP and net yourself 90 Myth within the same time
(Can fluctuate the #'s, I'm just spitballing here)

Can even mix and match, not much queue on Monday/Tuesday due to everyone hammering the same instance, so wait times would diminish

Primals should get a bump in both Tomes department:
Ifirit HM - 25 Phil, 10 Myth
Garuda HM - 50 Phil, 20 Myth
Titan HM - 75 Phil, 30 Myth
If they add in the Extreme versions, just double up the amount of the HM rewards

Saw a video of a tank only using Halone for Stone Vigil.

I've been thinking about this. Since they've stated that Crystal Tower is meant to be a bridge between AK and the Coil, Crystal Tower runs should drop myth tomes, right? If I had the patience I'd probably hold off on grinding tomes for now, and wait til CT is out to make it a bit less repetitive. But I don't.
