Gotta do something, right?updated the game before going to bed last night. just logged in now while I'm working and the que is not long at all, but that's probably due to the time of day. figured I would stay log in to sort out some stuff that they change and avoid log in issues later on when I play after work.
also, do we need to change the thread title or start a new one?
Gotta do something, right?
Oh bummer. I didn’t do it either, but I didn’t have material or anything.speaking of doing something, I realized earlier that I had forgot to take out all the belts in the armory chest belt slot, so those are all lost now. not a big deal but I do wish I had taken out a few of the materias and desyn them instead. oh well.
Thanks! Appreciate the response.Roughly 2k long queue ranging from 15 to 30 min wait to get in. Your mileage may vary. Will prob normalize again after about a week.
Loving the Endwalker storyline so far.
started off at 5300, now at 2046.Anyone in NA here? How are the queues right now?
The level 80 skill requires you to do the lvl 80 job quest to unlock for use.Got RPR up to 80, mostly through Zadnor zone 3. It's actually hilarious how there's NOTHING but Sages and Reapers in Bozja right now lmao. But yeah, it was fairly painless leveling and I got a few more Zadnor buffs under my belt as well.
But anyway, my initial impressions from playing a gimped* 80 RPR is that it is surprisingly simple so far. I'm digging it
* - there's an entire job gauge missing during Bozja for some reason? Technically it unlocks from the 80 job quest, but surely it should be available during Bozja as well? idk, but it left quite a few Reapers confused in Shout chat lol
Yeah, the pacing seems reeeeeally weird. Very, very slow early on, you spent hours doing basically nothing. Shadowbringers was much, much better in that regard and had a sense of urgency finding out how the Scions were doing in that brand new world.~7 hours in. Did first dungeon and various side quests. First impressions:
+ music is top tier.
+ sharlyan is the best town hub in the game. Maximum comfy.
+ plot is very good. Every character is juggled around effortlessly. Prior developments are integrated nicely into the main thread. The threat is a proper culmination and not a last minute thing the writers pulled out of their butt.
+ dungeon had cool visuals and a challenging but not frustrating boss.
- pacing seems bad so far, reminds me of Stormblood where you go hours upon hours of menial task quests.
Looking forward to playing again tomorrow!
Yeah, I don't think they needed to increase the size from what they had in SB/ShB. An MMO thing of course.A lot of the zones feel overly large just to be "bigger" and feel really empty.
The 30 min afk timer was improved, and now you can't auto-run in place\rubberband a controller, or use HUD Layout, NPC dialog, or cutscenes to prevent AFK kick. Takes a long time to get back in after a food run.... fffffff. 3,300 in queue, 25 mins later 2,100 in queue then get 2002 error... 3780 in queue.... FUN. Early am today there was only 46 in queue though.
Made it to the moon last night. Storyline so far is great. Lots of great lore & humor.
I know, I said that in my post. My point is that its weird that they let you play around with a gimped 80 kit in Bozja instead of just giving the skill + gauge so you can be properly accustomed to the 80 rotation. None of the other jobs have this problem in Bozja, you're simply given the full 80 kit to play around with. The level 80 skill requires you to do the lvl 80 job quest to unlock for use.
I feel like it's an oversight considering you can go to Wolve's Den and use the PvP version of Enshroud no problem.I know, I said that in my post. Edit: actually maybe Sage has that problem too, idk I haven't unlocked it yet
That sucks. Unfortunately, that sound bug is so sporadic that I think it's been hard for them to track down. It happens to me like once a year lolI just encountered the sound bug in the middle of the first dungeon. Exited the duty in hopes it would go away it did not... relaunched the client and back to Queue: 3000...
Massive pillar of salt right now.
I thought it was an Endwalker thing... damn. That sucks. Unfortunately, that sound bug is so sporadic that I think it's been hard for them to track down. It happens to me like once a year lol
But anyway, I thought my server (Leviathan) was spared from the long queues but last night I logged off at 11pm EST and the queue was 7500!!! Yeah, I'm making sure to log on right NOW (4am EST) for those sweet double digit queues lol
Nah, that sound bug has been around since Stormblood I think, except it used to crash the game outright lol. They made improvements to the sound drivers with Shadowbringers so that it no longer crashes the game at least, but it's still super annoying when it happens of course...I thought it was an Endwalker thing... damn.
Thankfully, I logged in by chance like 2 hours ago and queue was under 500 (Excalibur) so I got lucky. Managed to clear up to the start of the lvl 82 quests for the night. This is one way to get people to avoid AFK trigger I guess, lol.

The greatest fashion designer of the realm.I don't care what anyone said about Tataru. she's still an adorable little popoto and IF she really is to be the last boss of EW, I'll gladly burn the world for her.

Err am I the only one that thinks area 4 is a complete slog? It's incredible slow. Maybe it's building up to something amazing, but holy shit.
The music is so good in that trial or a lot of instances.was able to get in after a 1.5 hour que time and get the first trial done before the maintenance shutdown. god what a fight. as a WHM healing the party of mostly 1st timers, we wiped like 4 times or so before finally clearing it. it's a very interesting fight and I can't wait to see what they have done for the EX version. that said, there's really that "huh? they put that at THIS point of game!?" kinda feeling and really make me look forward to what they have for the rest of the MSQ.

They misled so much and I'm happy for it.The trailers barely spoiled anything which is great. I appreciate that they held back so much from the marketing.
Matsya is a good boi. For all the pain, being able to save a couple few was a relief but Vanaspati and the Hannish suffered a lot.the part with Matsya and the baby oddly enough got some tear out of me. they really sell it and I'm so glad they were saved.
