There will be. When 6.2 hits, the next batch of 8-man raids will release with new savage tier gear a few weeks later. There will be new tomestones for yet stronger gear. This will occur yet again with patch 6.4.
There will be a new relic weapon lineup as well, which will hopefully start in 6.2 and likely be ilvl 610 or 615 when the step is finished.

Playing ARR. Level 20 quests on level 28. Just got my own Chocobo.
These quests are bad. Trying to push on but after some interesting stuff the game has returned to fetch quests and talk to this person quests. I know it is supposed to get a lot better but getting there is starting to get painful.

I think have stockholm syndrome for Bozja. Was just thinking today on that entire experience. My first skirmishes and critical engagements. Actually communicating with other players, even if it was just to join a party or ask for a res. Learning Casstrum Lacus Litore, Delubrum Reginae, and the Dalriada. Playing around with the lost memories. It was a grind for sure, but looking back those are some of my strongest memories with this game outside the MSQ lol
The quest design doesn't get that much better, only the story payoffs. 200 hours later you will still be traveling from A to B to talk to NPCs 1, 2, and 3 haha. But it does get a little more variety and certainly a ton more voice acting.

The biggest problem is quests where absolutely nothng happens and no combat is involved. You just run, ride or teleport from A to B talking to people about... things which have no relation to MSQ whatsoever - except to unlock the next actual story quest. When the game is good, it is good but cutting 30% wasn't nearly enough.

Unfortunately it's impossible to experience Eureka as it once was, especially now that it's inundated with bots. And SE doesn't want to do a damn thing about them, apparently.
Eureka was even better in that regard (communicating + adventuring through a dangerous area with others). Well, except for the grind part, which was significantly worse lol

First I was playing FF14 and then I played the Ivalice raids (The Legend Returns) and met Fran, then I bought FF12 during the Steam summer sale and just finished it, and now I'm strongly tempted to start a new Viera character (or use a fantasia) in FF14. This has been quite a journey lol.

I think I'm going to resub tomorrow after work. There aren't any other games coming out that I'm looking forward to until October and I wanna spend more time getting into the harder difficulty content. Right at the end of my last sub I started working on P1S, and even though they're updating it so that you can jump into any savage in the tier now I still want to work my way through P1S -> P2S -> P3S -> P4S. Then once I can clear all of that and and get my BIS gear and have learned about the high-end content mechanics and such then I can get to my true goal: I wanna clear Dragonsong's Reprise (Ultimate). I realize this will take a long time and many many hours (maybe months?) of practice, but I really want that Ultimate Halbard of the Heavens lol.
This will undoubtedly be a long journey but the only way to get there is to take one step at a time I guess. I've been playing FF14 for years though so hopefully the learning curve won't be too severe.

so it seems there's some drama with this whole billboard thing. as far as I can tell, it's basically some FC rented some billboards (digital billboards, 4 in Texas, 2 in Northern California) to promote their club event. but they got a lot of crap from people in their Discord, so someone (I think it's a mod) went on insult flinging mode. people got upset and started a big drama over this, and the fact that the FC seems to charge gil for ERP and photo sessions, plus streaming on Twitch to make money, did not sit well with a lot of people. on top of that, since the ad shows the official FFXIV logo, characters with datamined clothes, and poses only possible with 3rd party tools, all of which are against TOS of course, caused some people that's related to all of this got banned. in any case, just some hilarious stuff over all.

Clubbing in this game is the lamest thing I've ever seen in my life. It's literally just a room of characters doing the same exact 3-second animation loop (/beesknees), while listening to some royalty-free music or horrible remixes on Twitch/YT. Just go out to a IRL club FFS, I promise you it'll be a 100x better than this lame shit.
As for the drama, I hope SE's legal team hits them hard so no one ever does something as embarrassing as this again.

I finally cleared my first Savage! (P1S)
It took a couple of days of practice but then I finally learned how to get through Intemperance without dying and then to remember about aetherial shackles after the second Shining Cells. Feels so good to get this far and I've definitely learned a lot. Next up is P2S!

ARR Relics are a bit of a time sink but much easier than they used to be, now that we can fly in ARR zones. What used to take weeks can now take a few days.
As for HW Relics, they're mostly about having enough Poetics and re-running content, which is very easy to solo now at lvl90. If you have enough Poetics saved up then you can probably knock out it in a day or two.
SB Relics used to take weeks but from what I hear, bots are making it very difficult for people to progress these days.
Lastly, ShB Relics will probably take a few weeks to max out. Depends on how active Bozja is nowadays.

I should have mentioned this back when 6.1 was released, but the current Unreal trial (Ultima Weapon) is incredibly simple. It's technically the first Extreme ever made for the game, so it's very easy. Even Learning parties from the start can clear in a single lockout.
There's only a month and change of this Unreal remaining, so rack up those easy Faux Leaves while you can!
Because once 6.2 rolls around, it's Powerman 5000 time. Expect a whole lot of PF salt for that one.

It doesn’t take very long these days, you can do it in a week. Areadbhar Lux is still the best looking dragoon weapon in the game, I doubt I’ll ever replace it. If you’re going for a relic, that’s the one to go for.

Yep that’s the one I’m going for. I made a lot of progress yesterday and today… I think I’m a little over halfway done. Today feels like I spent almost the entire day just jumping from hunt train to hunt train farming poetics lol. Now I understand what people mean when they say “the relic grind”. Fortunately I got a ton of clusters from doing the hunt trains too, then traded all of that for materia, then made a ton of money from that on the market boards, then used that to buy the other materials I needed from the market board.

Well I have made quite the progress since March, and despite me feeling like most of stormblood wasn't great, it seriously has picked up post credits. And last night I did not see that coming...

Ah yeah I remember the shock we had that day. The Alphi one was an experiment to test the waters, the next times it happens you will find more entertaining battles with more mechanics and stuff to experiment.

I recently grinded my way through ALL HW relics. I probably carried 40+ people through all of coil/coil savage, 50/60 primals, and alexander/alexander savage for the 1st time poetics bonuses. I started on doing more Eureka Weapons, and so far haven't had trouble with botters, but I already have a full set of +2 armor from back when the content was fresh. Even then, it is dreadfully slow compared to Animas.
Since I'll never land a large house, I splurged on the 50M mount. Weeeeee.

I earn a ton just chasing achievements. I've been sending my 4 retainers off for mats and then crafting them up once a week for collectable turn ins. I then convert the white scrips into Control IX materia and sell those in bulk. It adds up fast so something like 1.5 mil every 2 days or so.
The axe is from TEA. DSR is way worse and I haven't had much luck with groups for it.

Added another weapon to the collection today (I'm collecting dragoon weapons), the Augmented Menis:
I bought this one on the marketboard for $1.4m, my most expensive purchase yet. Looks much better in person than it did when I would use the try it on feature. Next I'm considering going after Gae Bolg (only the first step, not the entire chain).

Just cleared P1S for the 4th time. I never did get a single loot drop from it but at least I finally had enough books to get the ring I wanted, bringing my ilvl up to 595. The first 2 times I cleared it we barely survived enrage. The 3rd time we never even saw enrage, and the 4th time we cleared it by the end of the aetherial shackles during the 2nd shining cells. I feel like I have that fight memorized by now. Time for P2S!
