4: Belias Primal.

We know he's out there, and it's suspected he's the primal of the Gigas's (Gigasi?) that didn't migrate to Mor Dhona. Might as well use him sometime in 3.0.
It has a been a long time since I've done that quest, but I thought Belias was an Elder Primal? The Elder primals don't seem to have normal worshiping races anymore. The only major exception is Bahamut and his Meracydia followers, but they were kept alive as slaves by Allagan and their space magic so not sure if that counts. Given the Ascians taught evilSMNguy how to summon Belias, and that the only other FFXII esper is Zodiark, he may be another that they either worship or somehow control. But yeah some subsect of Gigas worshiping him would definitely make sense given his title in FFXII.

Thinking about that quest again now, it makes me wonder if SMN will get the power that guy had in the quest. Absorbing/fusing with the Egi.

Oh and I am kind of expecting all the Genji gear to be SAM's AF set whenever it gets added.

1: A version of Gilgamesh that drops Genji Weapons.

Go ahead and make it a non-canon Minstrel fight, I want my Genji weapons dagnabit!

Primarily the Genji stuff has been armor, not weapons. I wouldn't mind a Genji set from another Gilgamesh fight, but I'm also pretty indifferent about it.

Elder Primals still need to be worshiped, at least to be re-summoned.

Bahamutt was being worshipped by the dragons kept in suspended animation in FCOB.

Odin isn't worshipped, but because his true form is a sword, and the sword itself has never been destroyed, he has never needed to be re-summoned. He just keeps possessing whomever picks up the sword next.

The term Elder Primal, seems to be fairly literal in the case of Final Fantasy XIV. They are merely primals that are older, and have had more time to amass power. As for Belias, most of what we know about him, in addition to the reasoning behind him likely being a Gigas Primal, is detailed in the following video.

I know, but I figured weapons would be easier to fit into a drop somewhere. As for armor, I'd make the armor craftable, but require a material that drops, (semi-frequently,) from the same fight as the weapons. That's just me though.

2 things both of which I may be completely wrong on but:
I thought the ixal quests always gave you a fixed percentage of your level no matter what level you are at.
I thought we fought Belias in the summoner job quests.
Edit: oh I guess that was his egi

Do I have to put my pre-order code for Heavensward in Mog Station somewhere? I got a code, and I don't really know where to put it. I tried "Enter Item Code" and "Add Game Time Card". Both said the code was invalid. I don't know anywhere else on the Mog Station to enter codes.

I would like to know too. D:
I didn't get a link in my email to any special website to redeem the code. I pre-ordered from GMG.

Right, I said their worshippers weren't necessarily around anymore though. Even Bahamut's would be dead if not for the Allagans. (did you just spoiler summarize the exact same thing I said by the way? Don't think it's even a spoiler at this point anymore.)

The video is interesting, mainly the idea that the Ascians may be absorbed forms of FFXII espers, but the Belias link is a massive leap seemingly based only on his name and the fact the Hecatoncheir happen to have horns on their helms and Belias had horns in FFXII. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he was, I even said so in my post, but man that's a leap. It should be noted Hecatoncheir was an actual summon in FFXIII too.

The Ascian theory he talked about really is interesting. It would explain why they worship Zodiark the way they do. I've never seen someone link their glowy mask designs with the FFXII espers either.

The XP reward scales, but it doesn't scale perfectly. If you're starting at level one, completing quest is a guaranteed level up, with change. By level 45, all six dailies together aren't a guaranteed level up.

This is of course fine, for casually getting other crafting jobs to 50. I suspect it'll be woefully insufficient for getting to 60 however.

So a few new crafting quests among the new Beastman dailies, would be nice.

Bit of a leap, but that's kinda the nature of this sort of speculation though.

And, yeah, this guy has some interesting theories.

I'm bored on my day off so:

Token system for Alexander idea.

Each chest drops a number of tokens and random item (maybe?)

Tokens can buy:

1 token: Accessory
2 tokens: First Upgrade
3 tokens: Head, hands, belt, feet piece
4 tokens: Second Upgrade
5 tokens: Leg or body piece

Pieces start at five iLvls higher than the unupgraded new tomestone pieces and each upgrade lets you replace a secondary stat with a stat of your choice and increases the iLvl by 5 making each piece end up having secondary stats of your choosing and five iLvls higher than the upgraded versions of the pieces bought with the new tomestones.

The difference between the story and hard versions would be the number of tokens dropped (maybe something like 1-2 per turn in story mode and multiple per chest in hard mode calculated to get most of a static a fully upgraded set by the time the next raid comes out.) The final turn of hard mode would be the only place to get the weapon token, too, maybe split the second upgrade into a unique drop from hard mode.

I'd keep the weekly lockout, I guess, to stop people from just farming the story mode for gear or else there'd probably need to be more incentive to run Hard Mode.

Here's my idea for Alexander loot system.

When you beat the first boss all the loot gets added to your armoire the end.

Haven't seen that many stacks on Phoenix in a while. I recommend dodging the big scorch pinion landslide animations. Also better cooldown management is important to survive Revelations.

You're supposed to comment in the stream, man.

Well if this was a lifetime movie thier should have been a rape. *jazz hands*

Nah, this isn't one of the Women in Danger movies where they bring out the C-list writers for actors you recognize, more the Panic About Your Children ones where everything is as bland and safe as possible.

Like... this. A movie with that storyline has no business being that blah.
