I've been getting gear for other jobs. I play Ninja so I can't share my savage gear with any other job (besides accessories with BRD/MCH).If I already have 330 and 340 gear, is there any reason to do Rabanastre again?

what are Best Materias for SAM on left and right side ?
Depends on what speed tier you want/feel comfortable with. There are different BiS based on speed tiers.
whats the most optimal ?
Think that's more of a general philosphy for doing raid content. that's what I generally do too. I will always put doing Mechanics first then get to enrage and worry about optimizing my dps later.Eh, Thordan I think was a message fight. You had groups obsessing over 'gear walls' and changing comps to meet the Living Liquid DPS check, when they were exploding to adds or failing Digititis passes and not hitting consistently hitting fight enrage, and Yoshida giving interviews that amounted to "No, seriously, do the mechanics and then worry about damage":
They then dump Thordan on the world, where the DPS check was intentionally lenient and the biggest gain from decent damage in the back half was.... skipping a DPS check at the very end. Mechanics were the centerpiece and enrage was as much of a non-issue as they could make it to clearly convey the whole shut-up-and-dance thing.
It might have been an accident, but I still think Thordan as designed was probably the smartest content-as-teaching-tool they've done. I don't think there's anything in the game Shinryu can address in the same way, just because of how Omega worked out; I just think it's funny that they defaulted to "throw DPS at it" for the primal when DPS checks were super lax this tier.
The other dps told me to do so after the dungeon. He told me i did a good job to keep agro and next time to leave that type of player dying hehMy motto is "you pull it, you tank it"
If you accidentally pulled something, fine. I'll come get it off of you.
That being said, if you do the above and instead of bringing it to me you run around while the add is killing you you are on your own.
I will not risk turning all the adds around to the party to save someone's ass.
it is. cause grass is not green over here if you want to farm too :S
Having fun with machinist so far. I dont see many around and all the job advice basically seems to boil down to play a bard

Level 30 is when we can finally pick our class?
Also ill ask again, anyone knows or has screenshots of all the races in different armor types to see what looks best? Not happy with my roegadyn so far, will prob use a fantasia phial
Eorzea collection has all armor sets available.Level 30 is when we can finally pick our class?

Excellent so 4 more levels to be a paladin. Thanks.Eorzea collection has all armor sets available.
Not sure if they have option to switch to other races wearing those sets though.
And yes once you reach lvl 30 and completed all class quests another quest at your class guild starts that gives a job crystal which when equipped will change your class to its proper job (Lancer -Dragoon, thaumathurge -black mage etc)
At least the females are somewhat covered in this game unlike some other mmos where they run naked.Generally the game's armors are designed with female characters in mind
Most obvious example are the caster tutu pants set or astrologian relic set

There's plenty of running naked outfits. I've been semi-classy lately but I now all the good looks.

^Yeah this one loves to dress lewd and be lewd.
All my outfits are Drama-approved.
Ok. Computer is all set up and I am now jumping into this game on my own account.
Wifey is far far ahead of me, so...time to grind!
(We are on the adamantoise server if anyone wants to party!)
i nvr seen fending glovr drop in o2s but it did in o3s. i know certain drops for some class drops in o3s even tho you can use o2s page to get itAnother week of V2S and nothing to show for it but the book. I'm up to 11 clears on it so far and I've only seen a piece of Fending gear drop once. I'm not looking forward to loot drops on V3S, V4S, and Shinryu Ex, if I ever clear them.

Eh. The job was in a bad spot for a while at the start of the expansion, and wasn't great when Savage dropped, but they've since fixed it up and made it pretty strong. But it'll take people a while to catch on, and even once public accepts them more in general it'll probably still be fairly underplayed just due to the nature of the job and the popularity of the Bard alternative.
The job is also kind of broken until around 64, and you can't really learn your rotation until 70 because you're missing some super key skills, so it will probably feel weird until much later on when you get the full kit.
There's a decent amount of information out there if you hit up some of the outside-the-game theory crafting stuff, but the key things are all centered around keeping your Wildfires coming every 60 seconds with little to no delay. There are a few different accepted rotations out there, all of which math out to roughly as good, so people often end up using whichever one 'feels' the best. This doc does a pretty good job of explaining the various different rotations out there, but they all rely on a bunch of level 70 things and flat-out won't help right now.
Basically the goal while leveling is to get used to maximizing your ammunition, getting used to the Wildfire window, and get comfortable with the turrets. Everything else will change a lot while you level.
People do that yeah but usually only on the first week of Savage where you don't really have a choice but run stuff blind. I dunno if you're gonna find people like that this far into the tier but doesn't hurt to make a PF party and try, I guess.Hey so here's a thing I've been thinking about:
I took a few weeks off from this when Destiny 2 released, and I had a FANTASTIC experience diving into the Raid in that game completely blind, ended up figuring everything out and clearing it over the course of a few nights with some folks I met in game.
Fast forward to the release of 4.1, and of course I'm back to FFXIV because every other game is....well....not FFXIV. I finally got around to clearing Omega 1 - 4 regular (I unlocked it the week it released then promptly dropped it in favor of leveling some crafters), and have unlocked savage but haven't tried or researched the fights at all. I would love to have that experience of figuring out the mechanics, progressing, and finally succeeding in this game like I did with the Destiny raid. What are the chances of finding some like-minded folks to try and take on the savage content blind with me? Is that even a thing people in this game are interested in?
