Final Fantasy XV - 50 min video

So is Cidney in the game for like 5 minutes? You drop the car off with her and pick it up an hour later after some monster hunts for cash. Then you move on to a different area. I wonder why she was such a big part of the marketing

thanks. Didn't realise the buttons kept switching. The frame rate is still bad...

is there ANY chance that that'll be sorted by the time november comes around?

If I recall correctly, she travels all over the world too. And you can call her to fix your car.

The framerate looks fine.
It's most likely your browser shuttering.

It was the same issue with the E3 demo where the stream was bad and people thought it had terrible framerate, DF did an analysis later and it turns out the game was running at nearly solid 30FPS.

She's basically like a recurring traveling merchant in jrpgs. As for why she's in the marketing so much -- boobs, and them needing a woman character in the fore front I guess.

Noct and Co go and kill Ifrit/Ardyn whoever is the final boss and reclaim the throne. Doing this will cause the Red Night/Plague of Stars. We'll be able to explore the world in during this event ala FFVI (Tabata's favorite FF ;)). We'll probably battle against the God figures/KOTR to end it. It coincides with what the leak described as to how Versus XIII was going to be structured with the third game being Noct against the Gods.


Who knows. Now I'm just setting myself up for disappointment.

No. I'm not saying it constantly does but the game has frame rate issues at certain points. I can't get youtube working right now but the part with the giant bird was one of them.

Unless this is raw footage i doubt DF can do a frame test but hopefully they can.

I wonder what happens if you don't approach the dude. If it's a trigger you have to walk over, someone at Gamescom could actually just stand there and see how long the music goes on for
 
I haven't really been interested in a Final Fantasy game since FFVIII and this one isn't going to change this trend it seems. The 4 main characters are unappealing and look too similar between each others, the plains look empty, the voice over isn't very good. It's also going to be very time-consuming to move between the really interesting bits.
 
Tabata on DLC:
- Development not started yet, focused on finishing the main game first
- Planning is already in progress for the actual content and where they want to go with it after the main game
- The Character Episode DLCs will focus on the strengths of each character and their unique gameplay, they want Gladio's episode to be heavy on the high level action
 
Honestly the after watching the video yesterday it left me thinking about it a lot and wanting to see more, so mission accomplished I guess. Only real complaint so far are for the voices of some characters & some of the dialog (why are all of Ardyn's lines so weird).

I understand what some of the complaints regarding the graphics are but I doubt it'll make much of a difference to me personally
 
Weren't they suppose to show us some Leviathan footage as well? I'm guessing they also push back the marketing material due to the delay? If so then LAME.
 
So correct me if I am wrong but is the following correct:

1. Journalists given the opportunity to play a pre-Master (month ago build?) version of FFXV to play through. Their impressions are what we are seeing now.

2. SE releases video of what the game would be if released September 30th as planned, the 'Master' version. Extra polish expected in the Day One patch is not implemented (since it is being worked on as we speak)

3. Gamescom attendees are playing that same version, again without the polish.
 
The music is fantastic. as expected. Gameplay also looks awesome.
For a long time FFXV felt like a mystery to me if it was gonna be good or not (even after duscae demo) but i think i've finally decided it looks good.
Despite the few frame rate issues and fucking AWFUL voice acting (bar a few characters). i think this is gonna be a good'un!

Also, overly loud phone vibration. lol
